I'm quite happy to be caught in a Trekkie trap. I remembered the Monitor being a Nebula because it gets assimilated by the Borg in one of the old video games.

I don't even remember this video, but I'm sure I watched it in 2012. drat, it almost looks like the game hasn't change at all in the past 4 years. If they had all that content 4 years ago, what the hell have they been doing all this time?

Edit: It looks like they somehow had MORE content 4 years ago than they do now? Is it possible that they are actually undeveloping this game?

It's amazing what you can do using in-engine cutscenes that you absolutely cannot do in-engine while playing the actual game. I think the distinction between the two is what tricks a lot of people - "This is IN THE GAME ENGINE?!?!? This is what it'll look like when I play !!!" Sorry, Spergie, it doesn't work that way.

You bastards. I started to read this thread from the beginning to see what SC was all about because I'd not really paid any attention to it. Now I'm lost in the labyrinthine depths of this thread because I'm addicted to see how all this plays out. I skipped 1500 pages and I'm still losing ground but I can't stop; it's like the finest Latin American telenovela, filled with twists, turns, incompetence at the highest echelons of power and two seats magically becoming one.

if nothing else, this thread has led me to definitely consider Elite: Dangerous now partly because of fond nostalgic memories of pootling about in Frontier and partly because it actually seems to have a plan.

Now I'm going back down into the depths of insanity and may be some time. Tell my family not to spend money on this.

Time to start the rallying cry on reddit. They are cutting down on features promised in the original kickstarter. What happened to those flip-down monitors with all the buttons you had to push to get them to go away? The new animations are less immersive and we are all cheated as a result.

The funniest part of this is not the length but that he's not even tapping anything, he's just touching different parts of the jpeg.

Though I suppose that's very realistic to most shitizens. :smuggo:

Solar Plebian should have this though. Like pressing the red start button for the ship should just make the sound "beep boop beep boop".
