Just randomly came across this Australian 50 anniversary Mini vs Mustang race, it's pretty short but full of great stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nS4MIfA5i64

ALL the camber on the front of that number 64 Mustang.

That's one of the quirkiest theme races I've ever seen. Camber on 64 is pretty aggressive, but the outer wheels are perfectly level in turns.

I mean the 3.0L Vulcan V6 and the 4.0L V6 in the 02 USDM Explorer that has 3-4 timing chains, a balance shaft, and a jack shaft, all so that they could use the same cylinder head casting on both sides. It hosed him right hard and good and he ended up with a last-year 302 secondgen Explorer to replace it. I keep telling my family not to buy stupid Ford products that have bad design features and they keep happily buying them and then either involving me (NOT ANYMORE) or telling me the horror stories afterwards. Goddammit, guys, please buy cars that don't suck

Late to the party, but all of you need to subscribe to Petrolicious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=channel?UCgyJPixJl95X1ut3E9K99KA I've posted several of their vids before. They do a new one each week. Great cinematography and editing, awesome cars, interesting people. Their 250 GTO video is my favorite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewQaikxTUJs and the Lotus Esprit from a few weeks ago was great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioN8HXTN7bM

There's something to be said about a home track advantage, even more so when it's Sabine Schmitz at the Nurburgring in the rain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnJOC_dDXzM

Obviously Schmitz is an excellent driver, but her car clearly has WAY more power than the 20 or so cars she overtakes in the first 30 seconds, there's no way her car is classed with most of those. Why is she starting way at the back? When I race bikes with CCS, and multiple groups are on track at once, Heavyweight bikes grid in front of Middleweight bikes grid in front of Lightweight bikes, etc, and Expert riders are always gridded in front of Amateur riders. Seems dangerous to have a faster car/driver dicing through all of that traffic right at the green flag, regardless of skill. Same goes for bigger multi-class races (LeMans, WeatherTech, etc) GTD cars aren't in front of GTLM, which aren't in front of Prototype/LMP cars.

New Roadkill! A ’71 Ford Crew Cab 4x4 tow truck. Yeah, exactly what Finnegan and Freiburger need in their lives. In this episode of Roadkill, powered by Dodge, the guys trek to Colorado to meet up with cool fans who sold ’em the homebuilt, 460-powered tow truck that instantly became known as Harry Tow, or Harry for short. The guys hit the road aimlessly—a solid plan goes awry when snowpocalypse hits Colorado. Lost in the blizzard, Roadkill heads south to Arizona to pick up an old friend: Pigpen, the ’50 GMC truck that was rescued from a junkyard in episode 31. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sn81EZz4VW0

Yeah I don't think it was poo poo necessarily, this was still an enjoyable episode, but it was really lacking in both thrashing of things and after-the-last-minute wrenching on whatever flat-ish surface was closest. With the month delay it definitely wasn't the best episode to come back with.

I actually posted that before watching the episode, I was so excited. It was great to see them not completely miserable, for once, but still kind of a bummer after such a long wait. Should've tried to get the GMC running, that would certainly make for a complete Roadkill episode.

The juxtaposition between the Audi's grip and the Mustangs is a thing to behold. I'm always perplexed when I see these videos because I've been an idiot in a rear-wheel drive car a bunch of times and never had it go wrong so quickly like it seems too for morons in mustangs.

Inconvenient by-product of its popularity and low barrier to entry. That raises another question: why is there not a proportionally equal number of morons in Camaros?

I like Mighty Car Mods, I like Moog and Marty, I like their projects, I tolerate Moog trying to sell music by adding it at every opportunity he can during the show but at this point the project videos are being dragged out more than loving Dragonball Z. Entire 20 minute episodes pass with the most minimal amount of work goes on. 5 different camera angles to put on an air filter... It's like the anti-Binky where you get a single episode every few months but a whole load of important poo poo happens.

They'd been asked specifically to make a series of videos where they showed everything, based on feedback from the double unicorn Stagea build. So that's what they're doing with the $3000 turbo car stuff.

Yeah I actually liked it for this reason, some of the older episodes were kind of annoying in that there was a lot of dicking around and when it came to actually do something, they'd cut to a lovely musical montage and you didn't really see anything properly. Although the Evo/Wasabi episode could've been edited down a little bit.
