I'll share what I know though. There are only three members who haven't technically left the band. About a year ago, they had plans to try to get three new band members and keep at it. They had a bunch of early writing in the works, including some guitar parts from their original guitarist. He'd never join the band again though, his wife really doesn't want him in a band again and I'm pretty sure she didn't even know he was helping write. I've seen two of them in the past couple months and neither of them really addressed what their plans were as far as Chiodos. Craig is working on a whole bunch of stuff outside of Chiodos including starting a label and he has a bunch of production work on the books with a few different bands and artists. He's also working on a new solo project that is something a bit different that I don't really want to divulge much on. It's not going to be like anything he's done though. Brad actually took a 9-5 job which makes me think they're pretty much done as a band. It wouldn't surprise me if they did sort of a finale tour in a year or two though.

Craig does music when he's not doing music. Chiodos, solo, Isles and Glaciers, D.R.U.G.S., Cinematic Sunrise, The Sound of Animals Fighting. I think he likes what he does. Even if Chiodos doesn't make it he will do something else and it will be enjoyable if not awesome.

I spent a while hanging with them at an after party they threw at the Hard Rock here in Orlando about a year ago when they did two shows here. One of their little brothers however was an idiot and on night two got totally shithoused and was puking all over himself sitting in a chair backstage while they were playing. I kept having to run around him while trying to shoot that night. I ran into Kevin a few weeks ago at the airport when he was getting back from a WWE event (he is dating one of the divas, who I met at a Sleeping with Sirens show about a year ago and is super awesome). Another funny story about that day at Hard Rock was that my wife and I took Craig to Universal Studios that day (Chiodos was on that tour) and the night before he was telling us about how random people take photos of him in public (not even good photos, like from far away and behind) and post them online and tag him. Sure enough, we get to the venue that night and he greets me holding up his first phone with someone's Twitter post of a photo of the back of he and I walking at Universal.

He just wasn't into it the whole time and rather than being a sport about it, he was uppity the whole time and even quit mid-game, which you can see in the video.... I was kind of bummed when I read this, but then I watched the video and the Cannibal Corpse guy is not Alex Webster the bass player, it is actually Rob Barrett who is one of the guitar players. I haven't met any of the CC band members, but Alex seems like the coolest and most down to earth dude in interviews. I'm happy it wasn't actually him. I think The Black Dahlia Murder did the Warped Tour not long ago, any stories about them? Pretty cool thread man, thanks!

I'm from metro Detroit originally, so I've been going to see those guys for years, even before I started shooting shows really. I definitely shot them unofficially on 35mm film once back in 2002. My favorite time shooting them however was in November of 2003 when I shot them at a frat house at my alma mater, The University of Michigan. There was a frat there that would book metal shows and one night they'd booked Black Dahlia. The show ran super late and I'm pretty sure that by the time they actually went on, it was like 2AM. By that time most of the people had left and they played for maybe 20 people in this probably 90 degree house. Despite that, they were loving insane and I loved every minute of it. I actually have photos of it somewhere on my old website, but my site is down right now because our server got infected and files are getting cleaned right now. I think I have them on my desktop somewhere, I'll look for them when I get home. My other favorite time with those guys was a show back in I think 2004. They were opening for Unearth and Terror at a venue called St. Andrews Hall in Detroit. I had a photo pass and got to the venue and when I went to go pick up my pass I wasn't on the list. I didn't have a direct TM contact so I was at a bit of a standstill. I went outside to try to figure out what I could come up with to get the problem resolved. The PR company was an east coast company so they were closed already. I ran into Trevor from TBDM outside the venue and explained the situation to him in case they had any room on their list still. Sadly they didn't so I was still SOL. I ended up talking with the Terror TM and he hooked me up and just escorted me into the venue and backstage. There was no barricade for the show, so he just said "ahh gently caress it, I'll put you on stage when the bands go on" and so he did. So I actually basically just stood on the right side of the stage for each band. Most venues have some actual side stage room where people can stand, but at this venue you're literally on the stage. It was the first time I'd ever really been that in the mix at a larger show. It was a pretty cool experience for me. Lighting was dogshit for that show though so my photos ended up pretty mehh, but it was a really awesome feeling. Also, my name is Trevor and Unearth and TBDM's singers are also both named Trevor. Funny enough Unearth's Trevor had never met another person with the same name before that tour. So when he found out that was also my name, he called over TBDM's singer and somewhere in his possession he has a photo of the holy triumvirate of Trevors. They're all super nice dudes, including the ones who have come and gone. One of the tattoo artists at a shop that I travel to to get tattoo work used to be married to their old drummer, which is funny because I'd hung out with him a few times outside of shows before he knew her. Edit: Coincidentally I'm planning my next tattoo session at that shop around going with the staff to the Ghost concert which I just got a photo pass for.

There are a handful of companies out there that make ones that supposedly have zero sound quality degradation and most are fairly reasonably priced, maybe $10-20 for a reusable pair that will last a long time. I've had my Earlove ones for probably 8 or 9 years now. I've worn then at least 100 times at this point.
