Leading us to the promised land (i.e., one tournament win in five years)

How the gently caress did Groce get a vote of confidence
Very allegedly (and frankly, I think it is bullshit fed to media types by people close to Groce to try to keep his job), there were some 2017 kids (Da'Monte Williams, Tillmon, maybe Goodwin) who wanted to commit but were scared off by uncertainty about Groce's future. So our AD gave the vote of confidence to help recruiting. He in fact said the vote of confidence was to help recruiting in some radio interview.

My only conclusion is that 16-17 year old kids are idiots, because even if he gets a vote of confidence for one more year, he will still be fired before you arrive on campus.

It's amazing what they can do with computers these days.

Is there a chance he could be fired for cause? At some point the coach will have to answer for half the team getting arrested, even if he doesn't have a whole lot of control over it.

Looking at his contract, I don't think so - http://www.news-gazette.com/sites/all/files/pdf/2014/07/07/Groce.pdf

The "for cause" grounds all seem to be limited to his personal actions. Best case scenario is that he sees that writing on the wall and leaves voluntarily. Did Alford do that at Iowa?

Nice job conspiring to keep Baylor outta the tourney committee, let me count the ways:

1. 5 seed. Instant loss.
2. 18,000miles from Baylor despite being the higher seed. INstant loss.
3. 1.2 miles away from Yale campus in their home stadium. Instant loss.
4. vs an ivy league. Instant loss
5. weird scandal going on which means Yale will win due to weird scandal karma. Instant loss

Also, now Holy Cross will win since it'll make me mad sine my team would've easily won the entire tourney if that was the case(abylor best team ever)

Someone at work told me that Pitt/Wisconsin was going to be a "fun" game. I told them then they were wrong and I will tell them on Monday that they were wrong.

The Big Ten is a bunch of goobers getting roasted in the NCAA tournament, how embarrassing for them. The only way to win is not to play.

He did! He was going to get fired the next year if he didn't make the tournament and the team was garbage so he peaced out for New Mexico. It was very exciting for a few months and then Lickliter happened.

The state of Iowa is 3-0 so far, and I think has the most wins of any state.

Every single year the Ivy League takes a break from fucking up the world through its various alumni to fuck up everyone's bracket instead.
The ACC has only lost one team despite everyone other than UNC, Virginia, and occasionally Miami being poo poo.

I don't say this out of some sense of conference pride, all of them other than Virginia can gently caress off out of the tournament already.

Making a t-shirt to celebrate things owns. Forging your own rings for Sweet-16 runs, however, is pretty weak.
