SAO is probably what Fate/stay night is to some people. Huge cast of characters, dude lead everyone thinks sucks, waifus, and somehow keeps having properties made about it, and somehow there are fanbases for them.

FSN has hotter dudes and ladies though so it wins.

As for me, still looking forward to watching anime, I'm pretty sure I will like.

Don't get it twisted who your enemies are.
It's been a long time since I watched FSN but all I remember about Shirou is that he was just sort of a whitemeat bland protagonist and pretty much every other character was way more of a reason to watch.

Aye.

As for me, I'm glad Lucy agrees that P.A. Works shows are worth watching just for being a P.A. Works show. I love their style, and I really need to rewatch Tari Tari at some point.

I barely remember it at this point anyway so it's not like it matters.

imo it's more fun to watch something bad and look at what it managed to do right and what it was trying to accomplish than it is to watch something obviously bad and go 'hey, it's bad'

And sometimes, things just fail really interestingly, in a way that highlights broader but (usually) less obvious trends in media. Man of Steel is a pretty good recent example.

pointing out flaws or bad parts about something is ok, it's just most people are trying to catch things in logical fallacies or point out cliches and that's uninteresting as poo poo

Well deserved. And hey, SA slotted SB in behind OPM for anime of the year. Which is unforgivable

Only when you discounted ranking numbers, IIRC. Weighted for ranks, Shirobako was first.
