Yes, audiophoolery is dumb. But oversimplifying things is just as dumb.

When Sandi goes to casting calls/auditions, does she tell the casting producer that her day job is VP for a $110 million video game company, and that she makes half-a-mil per year, and because she is so important and essential and does the work of at least six people she can only shoot after business hours or on weekends? I sure hope so! I can't imagine she would ever do something unethical like work other jobs outside of CIG while backers pay her salary and house and car and first class airfare, etc.

Someone who is good at video editing should post the Starfarer commercial from the view of the Starfarer cockpit. I think that would be pretty funny but I'm no  Maybe post it to some kind of jaunty tune that could be the ticket to success.

Both are basically the same in that case. I'm pretty sure the card doesn't have an amp or anything like that, but for whatever reason it just drives the headphones a lot better. Mind you I'm sure this would be imperceptible to me if I wasn't already used to the sound card and only used my headphones on onboard and portable systems. Kinda like using a 1440p 144hz monitor and switching back to 1080p 60hz, its a pretty big gap once you get used to it.
