My friend lost her beloved shih tzu last year. She was convinced that she would never have another dog after that heartbreak, but after her husband prodded her for a few months... They're bringing home a new pupper at the end of the month. I can't wait to meet her.

When I had my two carpet sharks, bathing them made them smell worse for a bit afterwards. I think its due to the oils in their fur getting replaced and the smell comes from that. What is good times is after the bath, they go absolutely insane. They really want to get dry as fast as possible and its a pretty good comedy show. They flip around, rub against everything, hop and jump around trying to get dry as possible. Put a few towels down and around them and its a good bit of psycho ferret playtime. Double bonus is that tires them out quick.

Another fun bun fact: IIRC, they can use litter boxes. The one I had as a kid used the cat's box automatically. He was free-run, so one of his first adventures was taking a pee in the kitty litter.
