My rescue ACDs have nubbin tails and while I would never want to inflict that on a puppy, I love their little bear tails when they're happy.

When I saw my dog's petfinder page the rescue had a video of him posted where he was waggling his dumb little nub and I knew I had to have him. Love this woggle doggle and his silly butt flag   The front end is pretty ridiculous too.

So, a bit of a cross-post, as I mentioned this in the herp thread.. On Monday, my GF and I rescued a ball python. A friend of ours had been renting his basement out, and when the renters moved, they left her behind, along with a tarantula. Now, they did come back now and then to feed the snake, but she was in a pretty bad situation. So we decided to claim her. Here's what she was living in when we got her:  There was heat cable, but it had been unplugged.  As you can see, she was in bad shape - lots of dried sheds stuck to her, she had the crappy substrate stuck in her belly scales, and was pretty dehydrated. So I built this Tuesday night with some help at the local hackerspace:  It's made of lexan, so it's nice and light. A couple of baths later, and some shed-ease, and she's looking a LOT better:  And here she is in her new home!  I still have to get her a better hide, maybe a nice tree branch to hang out on, and install the Arduino-based temperature controller I just finished making.
