Has Roberts confirmed that Star Citizen will have cutting-edge copy protection consisting of that see-through red acetate film that you place over parts of the game manual to read the secret words beneath them? I also want a cardboard keyboard overlay for all the flight controls, please. I guess I could settle for a code wheel.

This is what people keep missing. You don't bring in complications like networking, persistence, etc. when you're still in the developmental phase of the game. You need to create the assets first - and make sure they're up to cutting-edge standards. Once all the assets are created, you start thinking about what the engine might look like. Once that's done, you splice in the netcode and just link everything to a backend database. Then you toss in some AI, and at the end, you just do a rapid-fire release schedule plugging in game systems during each pass, like mining, an economy, etc. Chris Roberts is an industry legend - let's just let the guy do his thing, you know?

So I could basically scan the drat page and share the unlock keys with my bulletin board friends. Hell you could even OCR it and print it out on the dot matrix printer so you could just refer to that easy.

I really want to be able to own my own plot of land somewhere. A place to call home. Maybe start up a small farm? Go out and trap/hunt local game and then load up the furs and crops in my cargo hauler and trade them a few sytems away where a local grocery store and a clothing shop buy them for a solid return. Its not a super exciting life, but I am just facinated that this game could make this type of play possible.

My dream? I call it "The Largo Initiative". I have in my possession, all the primary vessels required to set up my pharmaceutical company, and the trusted people to man the key positions in the chain. Everything from aquiring the plants and minerals, the studying and testing, to the dispatch either in small or bulk supply. If successful, The Largo Initiative will grow to become the galactic equivalent of GlaxoSmithKline and Phizer. Supplying Medical vessels and facilities with stock. I aim to specialise in hard to obtain or unusual compounds. Nothing is off the table, if it's out there and it has a client base, we can provide it. Ultimately, the business is just a means to an end. The end goal is to become wealthy enough to fund a race team in the Murray Cup. I want to buy an 890J, and follow the race calender from circuit to circuit, working with my race engineers and pilots to build a successful and exciting team.

My dream? total conversion mods. Day one, flying around with my buddies on the bridge of the enterprise. Day 2, running blockades in Serenity. Day 3, hunting rebel scum so we can finally get some peace in the galaxy. Day 4, making combat landings on the Battlestar before it jumps away. Day 5, running missions through a Stargate to teleport into procedurally generated planets.
