Okay, one of mom's crows died on the lawn, and the flock is doing the crow funeral thing right outside  Obviously I can't comfort a crow and wild animals die all the time, but I still feel really lovely about the whole thing and mom is pretty torn up too. I'd love to see some happy birbs.

Speaking of birds, I went to my cousin's graduation party earlier today, and there was an unexpected guest: That's a female wood grouse/capercaillie. And for some reason she had decided she wanted to hang out with us humans. She didn't really do anything, just chilled around for a couple hours even when the yard was full of people and didn't even seem to terribly mind people touching her. It was weird, but cool. I love rats, opossums and raccoons, and have a folder on my computer and phone full of them These two rats are from http://karasratworld.tumblr.com ; they passed away a while ago, but she has them tagged by name (these are 'gus gus' and 'nora', respectively) if you wanted to search her blog and see more of them. These are my favourite ones and they make me smile every time I see them!!
