Hoping for

Present tense
Identikit
Lift
True love waits

And not done bleepy poo poo like they did to Supercollider.

A piano guitar and strings Jonny album with Thom songs would be awesome

I love Bleepy ZZZZT Radiohead but Thom you've done it before!

I really want Identikit and Cut A Hole.

ZoDiAC_
Jun 23, 2003

Yeah Cut a Hole is decent too, though I've been sensible and tried to not over expose myself - you know what happens when you get too attached to Radiohead unfinished versions!

Identikit with its dual vocal harmonies and rising synth line seems like a way forward to me, I hope they have that, Burn the Witch sounds nailed on.

Jonny did say Lift was a contender... though the 02 version left me a bit flat.

The "britpop" version was better than most band's A sides but I would understand if they didn't find the guitar based version "progressive" enough

If there are decent recordings of these songs, and I dunno if there are, why does it matter if they're on the new album? Wouldn't you want new stuff?

I hope they do what they did with In Rainbows and compile leftover tracks that didn't suit the album onto a bonus disc.

Well, they're using corporate structure the way it was originally intended. They establish a corporate charter to accomplish a specific task or difficult project and dissolve the charter when complete rather than allowing the purpose of a specific corporate entity to mutate decade after decade away from its original purpose, as it is with many contemporary corporate leviathans.

Radiohead's not the first band/artist/organization/whatever to do this sort of thing on social media, but hopefully we'll know something in the next day or two. Any longer than that and people forget about it.

Then again, this is Radiohead so who the hell knows if they think like that/care

Drawing a blank on another band right now, but an example off the top of my head: sports teams that are preparing to unveil new shirts, branding, whatever. They switched their primary photos to a blank color.

Granted, they didn't go so far as to erase all their posts and tweets, which I guess I don't really understand. It's not like they 86'd their accounts all together.

It will turn out "Dawn Chorus" refers to the fact Thom Yorke replaced his normal bleeps and bloops with samples of bird calls.

ZoDiAC_
Jun 23, 2003

They have a stockpile of old songs that are just fine, BUT it's often the treatment and methodology of production that distinguishes between albums

Doing something texturally the same as the last album doesn't seem how they operate

Ranking Radiohead albums is the only valid part of Radiohead threads, so I applaud you. However...any list on which Kid A is tiered above Amnesiac is a list I'm prepared to diarrheadump on. F You. And Die.
