Voyeurism incidents lead to closure of Gender Neutral Bathrooms on Toronto College Campus October 6, 2015 Officials at the University of Toronto were forced to eliminate their “gender neutral” bathroom policy after a string of incidents involving women being filmed while showering. On at least two separate occasions last month, female students spotted cell phones being held over the stall partition to record them while they bathed. The perpetrators have not been caught. No word yet on whether the victims will sue the University for putting them at risk with the policy, which restricted women’s ability to bathe and use the toilet away from the presence of men. From the Toronto Star: “Toronto Police Const. Victor Kwong said Monday that two women in separate instances at the Whitney Hall residence reported that they saw a cellphone reach over the shower-stall dividers in an attempt to record them. Police have yet to find any information about the culprit, but the investigation is ongoing. At least one gender-neutral washroom remains on each floor. Melinda Scott, the dean of students at University College, said some bathrooms in Whitney Hall have now been designated specifically for residents who identify as men or women. However, several gender-neutral bathrooms remain. “The purpose of this temporary measure is to provide a safe space for the women who have been directly impacted by the incidents of voyeurism and other students who may feel more comfortable in a single-gender washroom,” said Scott. The Varsity, student newspaper reports: “On two separate occasions — September 15 and 19 — two female residents at the university’s Whitney Hall residence building were the victims of voyeurism, having been filmed while they were showering. As a result, Whitney Hall and its four University College (UC) housing affiliates have revoked their gender neutral policy on many of the residence’s washrooms. Melissa Birch, also a first-year resident of Whitney and shares Mahrt-Smith’s sentiments. “I think it sucks that there are going to be people that don’t feel safe in Whitney now, and that we can’t have an inclusive environment.” ----------------------- Gender Identity Specialists warn of “ever increasing tide” of Transwoman Sex Offenders September 13, 2015 Testimony admitted by the British Association of Gender Identity Specialists to the Transgender Equality Inquiry in the UK Parliament took a surprise turn when members sounded the alarm over what they warned is an “ever increasing tide” of transwoman criminal sex offenders. They outline how sex-offending transwomen whom they describe as “pretend transsexuals” adopt a transgender identity for various nefarious purposes, often involving increased access to vulnerable women and child victims. Description of the British Association of Gender Identity Specialists, from the August 20, 2015 testimony to Parliament [PDF] [all bolding in this post by me-GM]: The Association numbers over a hundred members and comprises the overwhelming majority of all clinicians working in every Gender Identity Clinic in the British Isles. The membership is drawn from all the involved disciplines and includes Speech Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Surgeons, Psychosexual Counsellors, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Endocrinologists, General Practitioners and Social Workers. From the testimony: The criminal justice system merits quite a bit of thinking about. On the one hand, many of us can remember patients who were charged with crimes, convicted and who ended up on the sex offenders register when we thought that the same thing wouldn’t have happened if they weren’t a trans person. A good example would be the transwoman charged with sexual assault after some brief fellatio with two males who were two and three years younger than her own age at the time (she was eighteen). They were visitors to the area and boasted to their cousin of their recent sexual encounter. The cousin, enlightening them as to the nature of the person they had had a sexual encounter with, caused them to feel embarrassed. One thing led to another and the patient was charged with sexual assault. Given that she was in a kneeling position at the time and that it would have been perfectly possible for either one of the males concerned to run away this seemed a bit implausible. In the end, she was convicted of being reckless as regard to age. This does place her on the sex offenders register, though. One suspects that she would never have been charged at all if she had been a born female. The converse is the ever-increasing tide of referrals of patients in prison serving long or indeterminate sentences for serious sexual offences. These vastly outnumber the number of prisoners incarcerated for more ordinary, non-sexual, offences. It has been rather naïvely suggested that nobody would seek to pretend transsexual status in prison if this were not actually the case. There are, to those of us who actually interview the prisoners, in fact very many reasons why people might pretend this. These vary from the opportunity to have trips out of prison through to a desire for a transfer to the female estate (to the same prison as a co-defendant) through to the idea that a parole board will perceive somebody who is female as being less dangerous through to a [false] belief that hormone treatment will actually render one less dangerous through to wanting a special or protected status within the prison system and even (in one very well evidenced case that a highly concerned Prison Governor brought particularly to my attention) a plethora of prison intelligence information suggesting that the driving force was a desire to make subsequent sexual offending very much easier, females being generally perceived as low risk in this regard. I am sure that the Governor concerned would be happy to talk about this. [sic] To recap the points made in that second paragraph: There is an “ever increasing tide” of incarcerated transwomen accessing transgender care services. These transwomen are overwhelmingly convicted of “serious sexual offenses”, facing “long or indeterminate” sentences. These transwomen convicted of serious sexual offences “vastly outnumber” transgender prisoners convicted for ordinary crimes. Transgender care providers have identified several “improper purposes” utilized by the vast majority of incarcerated transwomen seeking transgender care. These are identified as follows: Access to trips out of prison Sexual access to vulnerable incarcerated females Early parole due to parole board’s false belief that transwomen are less dangerous than other men. False belief that transgender medical treatments will decrease their future impulses to commit criminal sexual offenses. Desire for special status within prison system. Desire for protected status within prison system. Enhanced ability to commit future serious sexual offenses against women and/or children while disguised as women. The Parliamentary testimony of the Association of Gender Identity Specialists goes on to complain that “Informed Consent” models of transgender care, where adopted, force clinicians to knowingly facilitate criminal sex offenses against women and children through the administration of transgender medicine. That testimony: There has been much talk recently of an “informed consent” approach being adopted. The difficulty is that this phrase is much used in medical practice at the same two word phrase holds a wholly different meaning in the context being suggested. In routine medical practice in this and other countries the phrase “informed consent” means that patients can only be felt to have consented to any medical procedure if they have been fully informed, and understood, the likely consequences, both positive and negative, of the treatment being suggested, advised of alternative treatments that might be available, (including no treatment at all) and the likely positive and negative consequences of those alternatives. It is assumed in advance that the treatment suggestion is that being advanced by the practitioner concerned, the question being whether the patient is consenting to that treatment in a fully informed way. The same phrase — “informed consent” — seems to the Association to have been borrowed by those suggesting very radical and negative shift in medical practice. It is suggested that provided patients are of sound mind (this amounts to the exclusion of serious mental illness) and understand the nature and consequences of what they request it should, essentially, be the role of the practitioner to fulfil that request. Crucially, there seems to be no recognition or acknowledgement of the view of the practitioner concerned about the merit of the suggested procedure. If actually implemented, this arrangement would leave medical practitioners in the position of having to make diagnoses they do not believe in, prescribe drugs they personally believe will not benefit the patient and undertake surgical procedures that they themselves believe will confer no benefit or cause harm. This is incompatible with medical practice, the first tenet of which is that one should “first, do no harm”. In practical application, the worrying prisoner described in the paragraph above would be in a position to oblige medical practitioners to advance a plan the basis of which is the facilitation of subsequent sexual assault. [sic] -------------------------- Transwoman arrested for attempted murder by arson of facial feminization surgeon Dr. Ousterhout January 8, 2015 A transwoman being described as a “disgruntled ex-patient” was arrested yesterday for the attempted murder by arson of Dr. Douglas Ousterhout, a long-time specialist in transgender facial feminization surgery. On Monday the suspect allegedly doused the front and back of the surgeon’s home with gasoline, then ignited it, after a reported “physical confrontation” earlier in the day. The doctor was home cooking dinner at the time and the fire was extinguished without injury. Dr. Ousterhout lives in the San Francisco landmark home used as the movie set for the Robin William’s crossdressing film “Mrs. Doubtfire”. The suspect, Tyqwon Eugenen Welch, 25, was located by police on Wednesday and detained and booked on charges of attempted murder, arson, possession of an incendiary device, criminal threats, and trespassing. Police kept Ousterhout’s residence under police watch until the suspect was apprehended. Before Welch was arrested, some in the LGBT community wondered if another ex-patient, infamous in the transgender community for campaigning against the doctor, may have been involved. Transgender facial feminization is a small and notoriously acrimonious and competitive specialty. Physicians have been accused of running smear campaigns against one another, lawsuits have been filed, and disgruntled ex-patients have been arrested. Ousterhout, 79, has reportedly announced, then retracted, his retirement at least twice in the last four years. He continues to practice. Then the transwoman raped 3 children in the women's bathroom. ------------------------------- “Terf Tracker” Allison Woolbert : outed as violent sex offender, resigns, citing his “unconscionable behavior as a human being” January 8, 2015 Allison Woolbert, founder of the “Terf Tracker”, “Trans Violence Tracking Portal” and “Transgender Human Rights Institute” resigned today when his criminal past as a violent sex offender was revealed by fellow transwomen Wesley “Laurelai” Bailey and Harrison “Melissa” Savage. Bailey and Savage formerly assisted Woolbert in his cyber-stalking projects, where they “doxxed” and harassed women they suspected might disbelieve that men such as themselves can “become women” by merely proclaiming themselves as such. They targeted women, in particular lesbians and feminists, by logging those who “liked” posts on Facebook that the men disagreed with. They then posted what they believed to be the personal information about the women on various websites created to facilitate criminal stalking and harassment against them by fellow “transwomen”. Their purpose was to terrorize women who might believe in the idea that sex-roles are culturally constructed. In so doing they hoped to frighten women from participating in the public square of society and silence discussion of the way sex-roles (“gender”) is harmful to women and girls. Woolbert, formerly known as Dennis Wayne Woolbert was convicted in 1991 of Aggravated Sexual Assault in the First Degree, apparently his victim was a family member. Readers will recall that the young man, with a history of serial violence against women and girls, had been transferred in April from the custody of the Department of Children and Families to the Department of Corrections, and placed in a private cottage at an adult female prison facility because no juvenile female space was equipped to accommodate violent male offenders. Connecticut State Gender Identity laws prevented the male teen from being transferred to any one of the many appropriate juvenile units because the law makes a distinction between those male teens who may have special vulnerabilities or needs, are gay, are “feminine” or sex-role nonconforming, and those who believe they are “female brained” and identify themselves as transgender. Male teens who declare gender beliefs are offered special dispensation to be housed with juvenile females on the basis of that belief. Connecticut state juvenile authorities began administering cross-sex female hormone treatments to the troubled young man at the age of 16 in an effort to make him appear more female. Transgender and gay male activists rallied around the violent teen on the basis of their claim that incarcerated female minors should have no right to safety from his serial assaults. Demonstrations were held in multiple cities calling for the young man’s release back into a general population of potential female victims. Protesters urged authorities to disregard the safety of girls, claiming that the young man’s feelings of wishing he was female would be hurt if he was placed in an appropriate juvenile male facility -and that one violent male teen’s feelings were more important than the physical safety of female teens and staffers. Connecticut resident and gay male activist Harvey Fierstein wrote an OpEd published by the New York Times calling on authorities to prioritize “Jane Doe’s” feelings about his sexual identity over the rights of juvenile females to be incarcerated free from violent male assault. Male activists defended the youth by proposing that targeting women and girls for violence is a natural response for males who have survived abuse by other males. The teen’s previous assaults include multiple acts of battery against juvenile females, stabbing a female juvenile with a fork, breaking a female staffer’s jaw, blinding a female staffer by repeated kicks to the head, and smearing his feces. Male activists set up “Justice for Jane” websites and mailing lists and an attractive, feminizing portrait was drawn up to represent the serial offender to the public. In a development that should surprise no one, providing him with access to female victims has resulted in the violent assault of both a teenage girl and a female staffer in last night’s attack. From reporter Josh Kovner at the Hartford Courant: “7:28 p.m. EDT, July 13, 2014 The transgender youth who was imprisoned without charges because of her history of assaulting staff members in juvenile facilities has been accused of assaulting a worker and another youth at a juvenile treatment program in Middletown on Saturday night, child protection officials said Sunday. State police are investigating the allegations, said Gary Kleeblatt, spokesman for the Department of Children and Families. The youth was moved Saturday night to a single room at the secure Connecticut Juvenile Training School. The 16-year-old transgender girl had been shifted back to DCF care on June 20 after her transfer to York Correctional Institution for women in Niantic drew outrage from national civil rights advocates.” More: “A brief statement from DCF said only that the youth, known in court filings as Jane Doe, “assaulted another youth and a staff member at the girls Pueblo Unit and also destroyed state property.” The locked Pueblo unit is on the campus of the former Riverview Children’s Hospital in Middletown. “State police have been notified, and we are confident they will take whatever action they deem is appropriate,” Kleeblatt said. DCF had been awaiting approval of plans to place the youth in a juvenile treatment program in Massachusetts. It is not clear how the new assault allegations will affect those plans. Romano said the Massachusetts option sounds to him like “a false promise.” Initially, DCF opted not to place the youth in the Pueblo Unit, making the case that it had no programs to care for her. Romano has said he wants to see her go to a foster family.” The Courant quotes DCF Commissioner Joette Katz as stating that “agency staff searched “for a secure facility that would honor [his] gender identity.” None of the news agencies have yet reported on the status of the injured female victims. Then all the female victims were raped orally by the transwoman in several women's bathrooms. ------------------ Dana McCallum, male senior Twitter programmer and self-proclaimed “transgender woman” charged with three felony counts of rape April 11, 2014 McCallum, legal name Dana Contreras, was arrested in the early am of January 26 at the home of his estranged wife and charged with multiple felonies including three counts of rape, reports the San Francisco Examiner today. Rape is defined by the state of California as the violent insertion of a man’s penis into a woman’s vagina. From the Examiner: “Dana McCallum, a senior engineer at Twitter who speaks and writes about women’s and transgender rights and technology issues, was arrested Jan. 26 and booked into County Jail on suspicion of five felonies, according to the Sheriff’s Department. McCallum, 31, whose legal name is Dana Contreras, was charged Jan. 29 with five felonies, including three counts of spousal rape, one count of false imprisonment and one count of domestic violence, according to the District Attorney’s Office. She has since pleaded not guilty. McCallum has been out of jail on $350,000 bail. A condition of her release is that she attend AA meetings, according to court documents. A Jan. 29 criminal protective order obtained by The Examiner says McCallum must not contact or come within 150 feet of her wife.” McCallum’s defense attorney claims the victim is lying, but admits the victim’s teenage son is a witness, having heard his mother’s cries of “No!” through a closed door during the alleged attack. McCallum, who goes by “@DanaDanger” on his twitter account has declined to make a public comment since the media blackout on the charges was broken today.
