Actual gold? I have a Swedish friend who could FedEx me parts to keep it going until I can find a junkyard Mustang engine/suspension donor. Also, it's much safer in a side-on crash than my Crown Vic.

I'd prefer a wagon, but I'll take the Volvo 240 I can afford. If nothing else just to confuse my coworker who has a Nissan 240 project car.

What we swedes usually do is buy parts from Germany, unless it's second hand parts. Sometimes it's half price or more shipped.

I'm 155-lbs so now you know of two people. How did he physically drive it? There isn't *room* inside the driver's seat for 400-lbs of person. Maybe he was chauffeured around and sat in the back although 400-lbs I'd beyond the weight limit.

This was back in Germany in the late 90s so the van was of that vintage. I wish I could remember the make, but I can't. And I was sort of lying about him being the only one, though he was the only one I knew personally. Those vans were immensely popular in Germany with small businesses for some reason.

Anyways, the seat was small enough, but also flat and very worn out. So I guess he just spilled over.

Well... technically it's not rust. It's just a hole.

I had some rear end in a top hat in PA try that poo poo on me when I went to buy a truck on CL.
I rode drat near 8 hours in the loving freezing rain on my motorcycle to go buy this truck (I was gonna put my bike in the bed and drive it back.)

I take a look at the truck and it's in pretty rough shape... Pictures on ad were obviously not recent.
I take a look at the bed... there's no bed. There's just a giant loving rust hole. I'm starting at a driveshaft, frame and gastank.

After trying to explain this dilemma to the guy, and obviously not getting through to him, he asked me if I wanted to test drive it.
I took the keys from him and threw them in the sewer.

The brakes aren't great - might need new pads, I haven't looked into it. I usually just downshift to slow down. This thing is not the most stable vehicle in the world and it will go a lot faster than you will have the nerve to drive it. On the street it gets pretty nervous above about 30mph. I'm pretty stupid and this thing scares the crap out of me. I'm selling it before I kill myself in it. I thought it would be fun for my kids but after driving it myself, no way am I letting them drive it.
