Goddamn, all these games arriving in the last weeks of my semester. I think I'll lend my girlfriend my computer until all the exams are over, because I am not going to have the impulse control to resist binging on Total Warhammer and Witcher 3.5.

For the first time in my life, as an Australian, I feel like I just paid too little for a video game. $25 for what's almost a new Witcher game? I'll take that deal. I wish I knew what the specific thing we have to do in the main quest to get the secret Blood and Wine ending is so I could have it set up to go as soon as it comes out.

Classic "die to a fight 5 times in a row late at night, go to bed, defeat her easily in the morning." Jenny O' The Woods is pretty different from other fights. It's really just a long one and you can't rush it or else she punishes you pretty hard.

Gotta hand it to CDPR for offering an expansion pack that has more hours of gameplay than many full-price AAA titles. $20 seems like a steal. Like I played Shadows of Mordor a while ago, spent 20 hours total in it, woulda been pissed if I hadn't gotten it as a gift. vv oh yeah it was a great game, just not worth $60 my bony fealty fucked around with this message at 19:34 on May 12, 2016 |

Shadow of Mordor gets to be $60 because due to all the procedurally generated content it's one of the few games that doesn't get any less fun/entertaining after you've beaten it. That's why it's also one of the very few games I've gotten close to getting all the achievements/trophies for. Now the Shadow of Mordor DLC, that was some of the worst poo poo I've ever seen.

lmao, doing the Dragonslayer Grotto for Griffin Armor hunt, just defeated the Ekimmara (thanks to the bestiary for making fun of me expecting vampires to look like undead humans, forgot about that) and a level fuckin 20 Leshen or whatever teleported down into the cave with a sliver of HP left. I'm level 8

Yeah normally its patrolling the woods there and surprises you as you are leaving that cave if you head towards its patrol area.

If you have decent sign intensity, igni is a great over-leveled monster killer. Was trying to snag some witcher gear and some ice giant thing 10 levels over me was camping out. Tried whacking him with the sword and it just mad him mad, so I ran in and out of cover igni-ing him and he eventually went down as each blast took off a chunk of health.

Same thing happened to me yesterday and I think I'm level 7 and still don't know what a Leshen is. I was all proud I killed my first vampire and then a thing shooting tree roots or something almost dropped me. Has anyone ever done an entire build of armor/weapons/skills around igni? Love Geralt's comments and self-awareness in completely stupid situations lol. But hell if he doesn't save the goat named Princess by ringing it's drat bell all the way back to the Seer's shack, who will?

Also jesus gently caress. I started out with the witch path to find Ciri, did Keira (heh) and helped her out. Then decided Crogwhatever was too far away for now, so switched to the Baron. I don't know how close to ending the quest I am (we're about to mess wit the Botchling I guess) but this is amazing character development

Also, I think you can cast Axii on animals to make them follow you around? There's a step in a quest in Skellige that involves herding around a goat, and when I got tired of its poo poo AI I blasted it with Axii. Smooth sailing after that. I didn't think to try that with Princess.

Ever noticed that once you complete the quest, the camera angle in the conversation puts the goat's rear end in a top hat right in your face?
