Are there any bands that do decent worship-level stuff of Ride/Puppets era Metallica? I find it funny I can name any number of bands that do Entombed circa 1991 in the present, but not someone doing that sort of rollicking blues-scale solo stuff that characterised the best songs Metallica ever made.

Watched this last night and it's pretty drat good. Dee Snider has some of the best goddamn pipes out there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt-pS_eGO1U It ends just as they made it big and goes into insane detail from the start and through the club years. It's up on Netflix now and I wish it kept going on. I'd say it's on the level of Lemmy on how great it is as a documentary. The Atlantic records rep stories of getting shut down over and over again are amazing.

They're playing at a festival here in my home town during their ongoing farewell tour, I'm hoping I can squeeze out the money for a ticket to see them.

Ctheilist sound a lot more like Timeghoul than they do Demilich i.m.o., though they are obviously inspired by both
