It's interesting when people take a moral high ground on certain issues against gangster rappers. If you believe anything he says in his music he's killed people, been gangbanging and selling crack for years. He talks about robbing people all the time I hate that poo poo but I still love his music.

I assume most "famous gangster rappers" are not actively killing, robbing, raping people and in fact many of them did not do those things but were rather "around" people that did or that environment, so they are kinda documenting it in their songs. Example: Future is not selling drugs any more and honestly (pun intended) probably never moved real weight. He probably "sold drugs" in small to moderate amounts and hung out with a bunch of goons or whatever. I have no evidence of this, just a hunch. In conclusion, it is not cool to rape someone even if you make art depicting rape/murder/drug sales. Toodles

It's not like anyone's using soundcloud's jank-rear end player. Also in other recent stuff, Mark Battles had an album come out recently and it's pretty good. Dude's not the superrapper that Kendrick is (tbh nobody is) but he's got kinda the same vibe of O.D. era Kendrick. I talked about him once before, and I could easily see him getting a bit of exposure and some buzz in the next year. Blueprint and Aesop Rock also had their EP drop. It's unusual because Blueprint is mostly a producer (although he's had some interesting collabs where he's handled the raps), and Aesop Rock's pretty much only done production for himself, but I guess he handled all the production for this. It's pretty good, and it's interesting to see Aesop try his hand at production for other folks. Blueprint is decent enough as a rapper although his voice can take some getting used to (I actually kinda dig dude's earlier stuff so I liked this project, but that could be partially nostalgia).

Yeah kinda flips the script for me on how I feel about Freddie. Yes some rapes are fake but he's going against a pretty heavy ratio here. Hope he didn't do it but good riddance if he did.
