Just found out that I won't be able to see one of my favourite band's final concerts (the lead singer has terminal cancer) due to scalpers. I was gonna drive 8 hours and stay 2 nights in a hotel for it, but while I could budget for $65 tickets, $400+ is out of the question. Could I get some silly kittens please?

About two months ago, we noticed a really shy stray cat hanging around in the small wooded area behind the shop I work at. She wouldn't come within 20 ft of us, and if we moved at all, she would run away and hide. Then a coworker of mine threw a piece of salmon we had barbecued that day at her. Ever since:   Her name is Snacks now, and if we walk outside and yell SNACKS, even if she isn't visible, she'll be there in .2 seconds. My coworker is talking about taking her home.

Met a good dog today at a shelter. When I approached her crate, she turned onto her side so I would scratch her belly. She laid like this for a solid minute wagging her tail until she realized I couldn't reach her tums. I'm hopefully going to be taking her home with me this week.

I thought now would be as good a time as any to dump a bunch more photos from the shelter on everyone. Smokey Joe would LOVE for me to leave some foreign objects in there  An adorable kitten sleeps peacefully in his hammock  Sister Sophia is stuck between a bed and a soft place  Here's Hannah, enjoying an immediately-post-dinner nap  Josie, being remarkably poised  Little Bear is fascinated by most things  The shelter just took in several cats that were rescued from a neglectful home. Since they were found near an air museum, they were nicknamed "The Squadron" As you can see with Peacemaker, here, they were pretty malnourished, but they're getting fatter, friendlier, and a lot more comfortable.  Here's Rockwell, or, at least, some sort of Rockwell-like ooze  Hudson and Thunder were sleeping away the day until some rear end in a top hat bothered them by taking pictures

She does, so we make sure we pet her extra, or she yells at us. She's probably one of the loudest cats I've ever heard. Once she sees us drive up to the shop, she's out back meowing.
