Presumably his dickery extends as far as raiding villages for... whatever they were after, but not all the way to murdering defenceless(ish) children.

Wow they are putting alot into the first episode, they're probably going to do the all of the intermission in break time. Anyway get hyped boys, the first arc is a let's play by a max level max geared guy, the second arc is the tutorial on the easiest difficulty and the third arc is finally playing the game and on very hard.

The interesting bit to me is that it seems like they've blown their voice-acting budget on the second half (Yuka Iguchi, Yukari Tamura, Kana Ueda, Yui Horie) so I'm guessing at big things for all of our new friends.

I think that one was obviously foreshadowed when Reinhard took her when she was holding the glyph thingy it glowed, either it means she's related to the royal bloodline or is just picked because ~destiny~. My question is whether "Dragon" is metaphorical prophecy trap stuff and whether Subaru is the Dragon, or if there's an actual Dragon and what does Subaru have to do with everything. This show has me super on edge.

OK, this arc already owns, Rem owns, new characters look fun, I'm excited. I'm cringing a bit at Subaru making huge mistakes already, but that's to be expected. We haven't even found out where the save point is yet.

He's causing Emilia to massively distrust him by apparently aligning himself with princess tsundere pants, to the point that she makes him stay home after not explaining himself the first time only to have him stroll into the castle as part of her entourage. That's the big one, but I'm sure a lot of the little things will come back to bite him like antagonizing Sir Kissy Hands for no real reason. On an unrelated note, Felt's expression at the end there seemed kinda creepy/glazed over. If I had to guess the next reset point, it hasn't been set yet. Too much potential drama in everything that's happened so far to let it go out the window the first time Subaru gets decapitated for giving the girl a poisoned appa or whatever-the-heck does him in. edit: Then again I guess it could also be interesting seeing all the ways Subaru fucks up his entrance.
