My wife and daughter saved this little guy from heat prostration yesterday: They brought him home into the AC and kept him in a dark box 'till dusk. In this picture he is objecting to us condescending to try to give him a bug. He flew off about 30 seconds after the picture.

Aren't bats actually fairly unlikely to get rabies? I know possums are like incredibly unlikely due to their body temp being a few degrees under what rbaies need to surive.

They don't have rabies but they do have a form of lyssavirus that presents a lot like rabies, but has no real treatment so they just dose you up on rabies drugs and hope it works.

My poor Henry puppy got a terrible fright today. We were playing on the sofa and he was doing the usual dog thing of lying on his side beside me and "digging" a hole in the cushions, so I naturally slid my hand under one of the cushions and invisibly scrabbled at his burrowing paws - at the first touch he catapulted backwards off the sofa, then cautiously climbed back up to investigate. At the second touch he leapt sideways over the arm of the sofa and now he won't sit on it at all in case the sofa monster touches his paws. Poor Henry.

So I hear you guys like wrinkles This is Archibald (  ), or Archie for short. He's super sweet but very messy.But how can you say no to this?  Unfortunately he won't be living with me much longer as my ex is moving. However I am stuck with this one, which is pretty okay   Both of which I think are super cute.
