After watching a bunch of terrible food videos, Youtube told me to watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAUpelESAXo. It's not even close to being the ugliest or most disgusting recipe, but there is just so much wrong with this entire video that they seem to be so proud of.

I saw the feature on those butter burgers in the magazine, and it made me gag a little. The video made me gag a lot.

Even without the butter, those look like really low rent burgers. Pan fried with off the shelf buns. Isn't that supposed to be a cooking show? Do they not have access to a decent bakery and a grill?

.Z. posted:Some of it is probably real. As an artist who likes to make tiny sculptures as well as an amateur chef, I can't stop watching these. For me, the "a" in afp is for "absolutely". Way back in this thread (or maybe the previous one) someone posted those Japanese kits to make tiny fast food meals, but the edible stuff was like EZ-Bake oven confections, not actual hamburgers. I admire the fact that this person's making legit miniature versions of food. Kinda wish it had some commentary to go with the ambient noise, a nice soothing Bob Ross voice, but eh, you can't always find perfect porn.

My Grandfather used to take every item that was served at a meal such as a a steak dinner with scalloped potatoes, lamb stew and rice, chop suey, turkey and beets, etc, and stir it into the largest bowl he owned. He'd take all of Thanksgiving dinner and stir it up good. There was a single bowl that only he used. He made the best turkey you'd ever eat (when not stirred into cranberry sauce and corn pudding and string beans, etc.). But the stirred up garbage he ate is is my reference point for wrong. This hamburger recipe is far, far worse than any slumgooey that my grandpa used to make.

What the absolute gently caress. This is like the polar opposite of the kid who won't eat anything that touches anything else. I'm imagining him eating with a serving spoon. How does a person even get this way?

How does a person even get this way? Kid? My ~60 year old father still does this. My mom will be annoyed if it happens but will still eat it if she has to. Anyway maybe he saw too many cooking shows talking about "one pot wonders" and figured if you can make some things good that way, might as well use that method for everything.
