We had not left it yet, but when I would wake in the night, I would lie, listening, homesick for it already.

It's really warm weather and temperatures up to 35C are expected. Not a good day to ride a bike up a mountain.

It's perfect weather for the mountains. I live in switzerland and to get away from the heat I go ride up big hills. The valleys provide a nice cooling breeze as the air descends naturally off the glaciers up top, and once you're up there it's usually quite a bit colder than down at the bottom.

Admittedly I'm not riding up them at 30k/hr though.

Russian doper wins, another boring Sky stranglehold... at least we'll always have Sagz.

I do like Pantano, up there for 2nd after a great ride yesterday. Hope he's not going to Sky.

Just saw he's 23rd and 3 mins behind Barguil in 20th, so he could maybe break into the top 20 which is good going. Must be a few teams taking a look at him

Again with the Sagz:

-gets in the breakaway
-wins the intermediate sprint
-stops to poo poo in someone's camper van
-gets dressed while riding no-handed
-wheelies across the finish line

He is everything cycling needs.
