Skinty McEdger posted:TJ is really good now. He's come a long way from that match where he botched so bad that Tiger Mask iv started beating him up. Like Tiger Mask IV ever needed a reason to beat up a Young Boy. Again a very good show with only one person actually looking green (Kenneth Johnson, similar to Ho Ho Lun on the first episode) and most matches looking competitive even if the winners were obvious from the start. Would have loved to see Da Mack advance so that I could still support a guy from my hometown, but alas it was not to be. Most impressive to me was Mustafa Ali, because much like Bryan I didn't know anything about him, and he looked very competent in the ring and had 2 of the 3 most impressive moves on this show with the C4 and Reverse 450, with the third obviously being Tozawa's ridiculous German. Holy poo poo that move was awesome.

Dorado probably impressed me the most in how far he's come since I last saw him. Waltman has apparently been pushing for WWE to take a look at him for a long time (probably in part because he feels responsible for the whole "getting him fired from Chikara" thing) and its great to see that he's making the most of his opportunity.

TJ Perkins is Puma, right? He was in the first ever PWG match I saw, probably more than ten years ago, but he looks pretty young and has definitely evolved a lot as a wrestler. First time seeing Akira Tozawa wrestle, and despite hearing a lot of buzz about him and never having heard about his opponent, the commentators had me thinking they were going to have the other guy win. But no, they just did a great job of putting both guys over and making logical calls that complement each match. Really good stuff so far!

Also my first time seeing Tozawa after hearing about him for so long and he didn't disappoint. That snapping German is loving sick. He also has so much charisma out there. If WWE signs him up, he could be a huge star if they utilize him correctly (they wouldn't).

Him yelling at fans to shut the gently caress up is always hysterical.

I love Tozawa's phantom right to the jaw. I cracked up when he did it in his PWG match against ZSJ and tried to convince the ref it was an open palm strike and got the crowd to back him up Then he did it again

I mentioned before that I was going to subscribe to the network specifically for the CWC and I just did, and I'm starting to watch it now. I don't know much about the network other than you can watch NXT and PPVS and old shows and stuff like that and there's other original programming, are there any specific things people would recommend to check out?

lol i got 5 mins into the Tajiri match and first the video stopped playing but the audio continued, then I rewound it and it just tried to make me watch some other show instead. Now I can't even start it up again edit: literally tried at least 10 more times. It gets to the point after Slater dives on Tajiri outside the ring then it shits itself and tried to make me watch Legends House. It also only rewinds or fast forwards when it feels like it which seems to be 1/4 of the time I try to do it Aesop Poprock fucked around with this message at 02:19 on Jul 22, 2016 |

using the pc app here, is it doing random 5 to 10-second skips for anyone else? Like, not just a hiccup - when I go back to re-watch the offending section, it does the exact same skip every time

I gave up on this week's NXT on the Win10 app because it completely crashed to desktop every single time Rhyno began to set up the Gore. Like he'd start running, and FARRRRRT, whole thing dies. You're definitely better using a console or streaming box for the Network.

I have the most success using the browser site, and any live footage is often fixed when I pause it for a second and let it lag that far behind the live feed. It doesn't always work, but it mostly does. As far as what you can see on the Network, I would also recommend the Collections, the Monday Night Wars special, and I will second Legends of Wrestling. A roundtable discussion with greats talking about different subjects. Now if only they would reupload a lot more of their Classics on Demand content, like when Michael Cole and Mick Foley commentated over Showdown at Shea 1980.

It's working well now for me on the xbone. Just got done with Ali-Dorado and it was awesome. Lince Dorado must've worked his rear end off since I last saw him in late 2000s Chikara cause he was bland as gently caress then?? edit: thanks for the recommendations as well I appreciate it

I was having that problem too. I'm surprised more people weren't saying anything about it because it seemed like a Network issue.

Food Court Druid posted:Y'all should watch some Dragon Gate. I watched a fair bit of Dragon Gate after seeing the Dragon Gate 6(?)-man in ROH back in the day, so I probably have seen Tozawa wrestle before without ever picking up on his name or him standing out that much to me. He was entertaining in his CWC match, but with the huge Google folder full of Japanese pro wrestling that was recently linked here, it might be a while before I get around to DG. I watch the WWE Network on PS4, and I don't think I've ever had any issues with it. I'm in Scandinavia, though, so I pretty much always catch stuff on a replay, which might run smoother.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting him to sign. He's been vocal about wanting to work on his own projects in Japan and knows almost zero English. I can't see him wanting to suddenly live and tour in the US, even if there are more Japanese hires in development lately.

I heard a while ago he actually did sign but this is more what I was expecting. I'm just happy he's here for the CWC. Ibushi's my favourite wrestler in the world and him having any matches in a WWE ring is pretty incredible.
