Greg Puciato (vocalist from Dillinger Escape Plan) recently released a "dark electropop" album under the name "The Black Queen" which may fit what you're looking for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLMbFoYzXgY It's kinda weird but I can dig it

Isis is a really good suggestion. It even has screams to keep a metalish feel. Neurosis, too. Through Silver in Blood is a really good apocalyptic non-metal album.

Edit: +1 for synthwave in metal adjacent not-metal music.

I'm loving the new Ghost single. They're continuing to tread that line between metal and not-metal so I can't tell where their kvltness begins and ends.

OK so here's the tracking listing for Ghost's Popestar EP coming out on Friday. 1. Square Hammer 2. Nocturnal Me 3. I Believe 4. Missionary Man 5. Bible Tracks 4 and 5 will probably be irony overdoses or something. If the other songs are like Square Hammer it should be good/barely metal.

It's always been very cool to me that metal dudes shifting into electronic music almost always make the lamest stuff possible.
