His long, sad tale of his trip to Denver was really something (and was only up for a couple of hours before he wisely took it down). He was really mad at his friend for being so lazy and not driving him like 2+ hours to some random hot springs somewhere, and almost came to blows with him when they went to a lake, and Uli immediately wanted to go back home. Also it sounds like they got into a fight at a pool (because Uli couldn't navigate the stairs) and at a museum (same reason), and Uli got lost for a while. By the end, he decided to just be quiet and not make waves lest he risk sleeping on the streets or at the airport terminal for the last 36 hours of his trip. But don't worry, he now has a rigid set of rules that his friends must follow when he visits (be willing to do whatever he wants when he wants, cannot require him to go down stairs or look in mirrors [etc], and must be willing to drive 3+ hours to visit things that he wants to see/swim in). I wonder how his recent Boston trip went....

Goon lexan described how uli would evade the "beam" from mirrors on cars and such while outside by bobbing and weaving. It was the funniest poo poo while still making you feel sorry for him.

Every Uli thread is great but I always forget about him until the next one pops up. I know a guy who is pretty similar except he has the decency to not make demands of people.

Uli deserves to be the subject of a Werner Hertzog documentary. Werner could even dust off the gun he threatened Klaus Kinski with.

I thought he was okay until I learned he was a dick to his sister's dog when they were living together. So I'm kinda laughing a bit at his misery moving back to his parent's home and whatnot, but from what you guys are saying, it seems his overall quality of life has improved. I take it that Platform Masters game will never come out now.

I love this guy. I bought his book, it's loving amazing. It's hilarious. There's a certain kind of sadness to the man I suppose but let's be honest here the man is disabled mentally to some extent and that's pretty much always sad. He still managed to write a book and hell he's trying somewhat to move past his problems and he isn't a sex pervert. I think there is more positive to uli then negative.

...As the sun vanished over the horizon Uli looked back at the people meandering about on the beach. 'Hee, Hee!' He thought. They look like tiny black ants from here, color RGB value (0,0,0). He swam on and the people got smaller and smaller. Eventually they disappeared altogether. Uli wondered if he missed them. 'Maybe I'll find some new people on another beach.' He thought aloud. It was fun to speak when nobody else could hear you. 'I wonder why they call it Hamburger Helper?' He swam on, watched only by starry, parallax oceans, reflected in the blue.
