Ive played some similar "open-world -> events" style racing games and it always annoyed me that, once you entered an event theyd put up invisible roads or barricades all over the place to create little designed racetracks. But in Paradise its just "get point A to B however you want"

My only gripe with paradise is that the yellow gates for shortcuts (understandably) dont respawns so when youre in the heat of a race and need an edge it gets harder to pinpoint shortcuts. You really need to know the city like the back of your hand, and sometimes you wont know if the shortcut will lead to a favorable place. Also the fact that you have the cardinal end goals means youll resort to a lot of similar shortcuts. This is though an insanely minor complaint in a fantastic game. Im also not super car fanatic but i recommend driver san fran even though the handling is a lot driftier. Burnout driver and trackmania are my holy trinity of arcadey car games

Yeah I've played driver San Fran and after 6 ish hours I still wasn't acclimating to the super floaty drifts and fell off of it
