Was that with Ghost? I know he's doing some dates with them in the US this month. Typically I'm going to go see them next month when he's not the opening act. Last time I saw them the opener was poo poo, so it'll probably be the same band knowing my luck.

The irony of him touring with both Ghost and Gost is not lost on me, and you have to wonder if it's some kind of administration error.

I missed Carpenter Brut when he was in SF. Had no idea he was coming here until I saw a video of the show. I could cry.

I've been into synthwave and '80s influenced music since forever. Glad to see there's a thread.

I think he put the band together just for live purposes to make it a more interesting show. His work definitely translates to multiple performers so it was a good idea.

Still glad I stumped up the cash for Trilogy on vinyl when it dropped, despite being expensive as poo poo. I swear if you don't buy things on day one you don't get it at all now, unless you want to pay even more through the rear end.

Also never order from Valerie in the Summer because the French will just hold on to your order for months while chain smoking in the streets of Paris during shutdown.

Since it's the spooky month, does anyone have any recs for retrowave/horrorsynth that sounds like it's straight out of a 70s/80s horror flick? Lookin for those John Carpenter or Goblin vibes, or anything that's a bit spookier than typical retrowave.

Unrelated, Occams Laser released a new album the other day. I like his stuff, but it always bothered me how one of the tracks on his Road to Fury album sounds like it's ripping off Pacific Coast Highway.

Just to show off a little, I got to see Claudio Simonetti's Goblin last year do a live score of Dawn of the Dead and it was super amazing. Got to meet the man himself afterwards after a bit of social engineering.
