I didn't even recognize Freiburger at first - he's lost a drat decent bit of weight. Dulcich didn't look worse than normal until he turned his head for the full nerd-ponytail.

Constantly turning at a constant speed, all the attention and effort of an endurance race with none of the excitement. Desert Bus IRL Being the minute hand has to have been angering, like being stuck in the worst traffic jam known to man, moving forward a few feet once every minute. Being the hour hand is the cushy job here, sit in the truck with the A/C on playing games on your phone until an hour's up, then move the truck and go back to your games. They mentioned driver swaps but they never show the second hand trucks pulling off. The others are pretty easy, wait until the second hand passes then scramble, but I'm curious how that worked with the ones that are constantly in motion. I've done an on-the-road driver swap in an RV, but that was in stop and go traffic where we could put it in park.

That location would be fantastic for autocross.  I imagine the driver swaps were contained within the trucks, as a few shots show there is more than one person in the cab.

I mean more of the actual physical switch itself, you're constantly turning and having to maintain a speed that likely doesn't align with one of the intervals cruise control will set to (not sure entirely about that because they did say they tweaked the vehicle, so maybe they went as far as customizing the cruise control and/or gearing for the role), while also passing close . Switching while rolling in a straight line in a controlled environment is relatively easy in comparison. Also those look like day cabs, so not really much room for a shitter nor would using it while constantly turning be particularly enjoyable.

The new belt was a few mm too long, they replaced it with a much better one! The fact remains that the supercharger isn't designed to hit max boost UNTIL max rpm. The turbo was hitting max boost at 2500 rpm, and while the turbo had more horsepower at max rpm what was most impressive was the amount of extra torque <3000.

My wife, who usually loves to watch that kind of stuff with me, professed how bored she was with that episode. I thought it was awesome that someone finally did this kind of comparison, and for all their joking about not being "scientists" this was a drat good experiment. I guess my wife isn't as much of a car nerd as I am, she just likes driving them!

MCM bores me into unconsciousness. The subject is always interesting as hell but they spend so loving long getting to the point I mentally tune out well before anything happens. They really need to learn how edit and maybe shut the gently caress up. Show, don't tell.

Moog grew on me over time. It helps when you realize he is playing color commentary to Marty's straight man and the whole world is professional wrestling. A while back they posted a video saying that while they love all the big projects and plan to keep doing a few, they wanted to get back to smaller things. I think this was the video from when they first got their current garage.
