I am super happy that, after being a cubs fan for as long as I can remember, they won it all. Cleveland played a hell of a series, but just lol at blowing a 3-1 lead in the series.

Twins-Braves in 1991 was probably better just because of the sheer nerves caused by the game going scoreless into extra and Jack Morris pitching a 10-inning shutout in Game Seven of the loving World Series.

Also the Pirates' World Series winner (1961?) that ended in a loving walk-off dong in Game Seven.

Giants/Yankees in 1962 ended 1-0 on Willie McCovey hitting a hard line drive with men on second and third right into the second baseman's hand, which might be the best ending to a baseball game ever

I'm primarily a hockey fan (as evidenced by my avatar), but I started watching baseball last year when the Blue Jays made their run into the playoffs. I had hoped for two years straight now that if the Blue Jays couldn't win then the Cubs would win. The fact they actually won, and the way they did, is just insane.

Congrats, Cubs fans. I'm happy for you and your team. :unsmith:

He's not an owner, he's an executive.

He ended the two longest championship droughts in the history of American professional sports. He could announce his retirement tomorrow and he'd be in Cooperstown 5 years from now.
