Billy Corgan is a notoriously vindictive man, none of this should be surprising if you know anything about his music career.

How can the Hardys be so incredibly entertaining in the year of your Lord 2016? I love you beautiful goons. Thank you. I hope Billy stalks Dixie like that one 80's kid: I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS!

WrasslorMonkey posted:Or maybe... HAHAHAHAHAHAA Update: They're actually showing "regular" commercials on tonight's Impact instead of just the ads for POP's lovely reruns; except one of them was for a toilet spray called VIPoo. It featured a model/actress and the idea is that you spray it into the toilet bowl before you take a dump, and it forms a greasy layer on the water thus preventing it from stinking. At first I thought it was a joke but they were dead serious, that's one of the funniest commercials I've seen all year

Carter and Cash are you loving kidding me. This is the craziest work in wrestling history. Edit: I would have booked them as siamese twins just so I could have Josh say "Carter and Cash will soon be separated"

He kicked the rest of the band during the recording of Siamese Dream. I think other than the drum tracks he did all the studio work himself.

Smashing Pumpkins was a good band. The Smashing Pumpkins was not. Once they turned their name from a verb to an adjective, they started sucking.

He's obsessed with the flattest, buzziest and more flatulent sound mixing possible. Zeitgeist sounds like it was recorded by a farting 80's computer. But at that point there wasn't really a Smashing Pumpkins per say, just Billy Corgan and a bunch of studio musicians. As an example, Tarantula as it appears on album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Anrh-iWRfv4 Tarantula live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5OmSbu9yC4 Not only does it manage to actually sound like it was played by real instruments in the second one, somehow the vocals sound better which is a thing that almost never happens with live recordings. It's possible to do the kind of production work he's attempting to do (for example) but A) he's not good enough at it to pull it off and B) he doesn't seem to understand for real busy fuzz tones to work you need to have a depth of sound that's very at odds with his seeming obsession with surgical levels of sterility.

No shame in that unless it's just like... old Smashing Pumpkins over and over. A lot of those dudes haven't alienated everyone in the business and still make good music. Garbage just put out an album and it's quite nice.
