Also on the subject of nice human things, I found an lgbt church here in Huntsville. My partner and I are gonna give it a try. one of the things that convinced me to go was the testimony of a sweet little old lesbian who was super happy to have finally found an accepting place where she felt safe after being treated poorly almost her whole life.

For some reason, old gay folks are more precious to me than their straight counterparts.

Old gay folks have been through a lot. They deserve our support.

(the spiral on snail shells almost always run clockwise, these snails run counterclockwise because their whole anatomy is mirrored. while this sounds like a 'so what?' situation, snail genitals are not like people ones and so are on a specific side; Lefty is completely unable to mate with a snail that is not also mirrored)

EDIT: Here's a photogallery on the artist's Myspace. It doesn't have pictures of that particular one, but it does have pictures of lots of her other work. Newer stuff seems to be further on, so once you get right a bit, it starts to reach the same quality of work.
