I'm not a complete idiot who would bet THAT on the outcome of the election. I only went down for a regular ban so I have to pay 10$ to reactivate it. The people who did go for permas are allowed to reregister a new account which is just a special allowance for people who did the election thing. Normally permabans are for people so absolutely terrible that the admins want them gone forever, which is why if they try to reregister and get caught, they get banned again. E: Also if you're referring to a single account that has more than one perma, I think those are cases where the admins changed their mind and reversed it.
