mayl and yai being given zero relevance while dex gets to grow into an actually cool character is the biggest crime of the original battle network trilogy seriously though the whole running thing with "man, mayl, we really suck and always lose in the preliminaries, huh" thing that gets brought up in battle chip challenge is lame and i hate it. mayl gets super shafted in the first two to being a character who exists to be rescued by lan and then in battle network 3 she just kind of doesn't have any role in the plot at all, she seriously becomes less relevant than yai and the game following up a whole message of how lan shouldn't try to fight www alone without his friends supporting him, and then immediately says "EXCEPT FOR MAYL AND YAI, WHO ARE WEAK AND CANNOT HELP LAN" feels like a huge gently caress you and brings down what would have otherwise been a really fun cool and good moment these are my thoughts on the plot of mega man battle network 3 for the gameboy advance The Colonel fucked around with this message at 09:08 on Nov 13, 2016 |
