My reaction to this is sorta like that scene in movies where the guy just sorta saved the day and everyone is staring and the really cold stern guy starts clapping (in slowly but in Ernest) then everyone starts clapping and cheering. So good for him.

When I was a teenager we had a samoyed and he was the gentlest, friendliest dog we've ever owned. Utterly useless as any kind of guard dog. One time, my sister's boyfriend jumped the fence and the dog just followed him around wanting to be patted. If we ever left the gate open, he'd wander out, find a family down the street and let them cuddle him for a while and then move on to the next house for more cuddles.
