I just saw that Canada is confirmed for next year, along with Monza. Germany is out though. I'm sure they can replace it with some fourth-world dictatorship though.

Wait, why is Canada listed as provisional? Is it in danger of not happening?

I think they are working something out. I hope they resolve the German GP situation too. Apparently Malaysia and Singapore are going away. Sepang is neat and all but I don't really care if those 2 vanish; hopefully Baku kicks the bucket as well.

I was always partial to Estoril, I think they can still technically race there.

It's a little too narrow and it gives me Cataluyna vibes, which is not a good thing.

I finished up 1985. Good loving season even if I knew the results ahead of time.

Anyone plan on watching older a stuff while we wait for the glorious return of 2017 WDC Fernando Alonso?

Probably. I'm pretty sure nearly all of 1982 is on YouTube. Pretty fitting given the mood of the thread recently.

If you want to see why Keke is great you really need to see '83, his driving was just amazing that season. '82 is a good season to watch though if you've never seen it.

I'm almost done rewatching '89 and usually cover two or three seasons over the winter.

1990 is really good IMO. There's a few races from the 70's on YouTube, those are fun.

'90 is one of my favourite seasons. I loving loved that Ferrari.

So you guys talking about old seasons reminded me of a basement find I made last week. I got these when I was in college and then apparently forgot about them when I moved 10 years ago. I seem to remember that the earlier years tend to have extended race recaps rather than full races, but the later seasons actually have every drat minute. Hopefully my gross basement didn't destroy them.

Bring back the F1 Indy GP. They redid the road course so Turn 1 isn't part of the course anymore.

Of course this is a good idea so it'll never happen.

Better idea: Race in Le Mans... on Sarthe :unsmigghh:

Take them both off and replace them with Macau.

Monaco getting dropped from F1 is as likely as the Indy 500 or Daytona 500 being dropped from their respective series.

Then again, this is FIA we're talking about and they have an inverse midas touch as of late.

Really, they need to bring back the French GP. Yeah technically Monaco is in France but seriously set up a race in downtown Paris.

I will give a driver who hits the Eiffel Tower a penny.

I love Macau because it's basically like someone designed a track with the goal of making it as likely as possible to have a horrible crash on it
