i am the bird posted:I think having a discussion on typeclaiming is worthwhile because the OP says it could be potentially dangerous. I'm waiting to see what the supposed rewards are for completing a gym challenge before I make any decision about that. I'm also not super into the idea of gaming the setup when we don't know poo poo about what it is. Holy moly I love gaming systems if we can exploit them for towns favour. We essentially broke Desperado 3 by using movement info to pinpoint scum like 2-3 times. If we can get some cool rear end poo poo happening for town and denying scum an advantage I'll game that poo poo all day long

If we believe Kash's claim (and I kinda do), then throwing him at gym 1 is not a bad plan since he is Ice type. Future gyms I dunno, he isn't town and I'd rather give the exp to players that can do something good with it. Assuming, of course, we find anyone we can trust on future gyms

  Leader Falkner wants to battle! Be careful with this guy, he's got two birds. The first gym is usually a gimme, and this is no exception. In fact, there is no penalty for failure for this gym. There'll probably be some chatter about it if you win, though. Types With Advantage: Electric, Ice, Rock Types With Disadvantage: Bug, Grass, Fighting Team Size: 4 Gym Difficulty: 3 The first four players to be chosen will have their total strength added together and compared to the difficulty. Types with an advantage are worth 2 points, types with a disadvantage are worth -1 point. All other types are worth 1 point. If the total is greater than or equal to the difficulty, the challenge is successful. Examples: Fire (1), Flying (1), Water (1), Psychic (1): 4 total, success. Ice (2), Electric (2), Water (1), Fighting (-1): 4 total, success. Rock (2), Ground (1), Normal (1), Grass (-1): 3 total, success. Ground (1), Normal (1), Bug (-1), Fighting (-1): 0 total, failure.
