We had a buff tabby with the same amber-colored eyes. I wonder if the eye and coat colors are connected genetically somehow?

I gave Nick the cat a bottle of cat wine for Xmas. He ignored it completely, perhaps because he knows that reds don't go with fish.  Only moving to yawn. Such a sleepy boy.

 Bit of a blast from the past but I happened to find this in my archives. Last year, during the holidays, I got a bad, bad cold - I spent most of the week recuperating at my parents' place. Ty pretty much spent all week like that with me - it was super adorable at the time, though I'm pretty sure his reasoning was less 'poor human is sick, must cuddle' and more 'so hey you're warmer than usual and not going to be moving around much in the near future, right? Don't mind if I loving do.'

Kit-kit is very much showing her age (nearly 16) these days and hasn't been the same since her brother died, but she is still the best friend I have ever had.

Kit-kit and Oscar are both beautiful kitties and deserve many rubs, indeed Poor Ty is pushing sixteen, too. He's not moving around as much as he used to and needs a chair to climb up to his food bowl, now (we keep them on a kitchen counter to keep the dog from getting to it). Still as much of a cuddlebug of fuzzy purry love as he ever was, though. That cat has been a part of my life for literally half of my life. The Best Cat.

I just wanted to share a few pictures since everyone has such cute overlords.  This is Lion. He was a stray my son(and myself) fell in love with. He used to run at my side at night when I was running actively, and he was a great pal. He has since disappeared, but will stay one of my favorite cats.

Lion is a good name for such a regal cat. I remember reading a Garfield book (like an actual, hardcover, Book About Garfield) where Jim Davis asserted that orange is just the correct color for cats.
