Any wobblies here? I found out about the prison strike through the IWW's Incarcerated Workers' Organizing Committee before it happened, so I get the impression they were genuinely on the ground to help organize that. If they're doing that level of substantive activism, I'd be interested to know more.

I'm thinking of joining the IWW. I don't think the psl is very interested in a random guy from Alabama joining because they probably don't even have a branch in the state. Also I'm starting a socialist club at my college. Lots of Bernie voters who could be brought around imo

long night of direct action in college station tx. had a huge leftist showing against richard spencer speaking at the university. we were forcibly removed by riot squad at shield and baton point and horse mounted troops and we had one young comrade suffer a concussion at the hands of the troopers. no fascists moved freely and spencer was evacuated under stealth. i'd say we had several hundred leftists from around the state as well as a thousand non radicals in attendance. will be reporting more about the injured comrade as i hear more; hopefully if she's not insured we can pass the can around and help her out with any medical bills. end of the night we bashed the fuckin fash and i'm extremely proud of the showing that the left made in the most conservative university in tx. someone please make a good meme out of this.

i should have some appropriately censored pictures by tomorrow but just google tx a&m spencer protest and you can see videos of the riot squad doing their thing. we organized misc communists, socialists, anarchists, etc from around the state and brought a terrifying showing counter to the pathetic nazi presence that had the sack to actually show up. antifa, redguard, as well as cpusa, new black panthers, black lives matter, dsa, and other misc anarchist and other leftist groups unified in a way i haven't seen before to shut down, occupy, and prevent the fascists from drawing a national platform from the media. the fact that we had explicit communists and redguard demonstrating alongside conservative/liberal college students without infighting against a common fascist enemy gives me hope for the future. the moderates were confused, but i believe they appreciated the protection the vanguard ultimately provided. when we fight, we win. solidarity forever.
