Why is Lethbridge called the Hurricanes anyway? I always just assumed they were named after the NHL team, but now I see they predate them by a decade. Alberta isn't exactly known for their tropical storms. Should be the Lethbridge Deathbridges.

Everything I looked up about them had ZERO information on why the sweet hell they're named after a thing that doesn't happen in their very landlocked area.
