Star Citizen is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it's fidelity when you look out your window or when you watch youtube

I would not be surprised if they dump out 2.6 immediately before Christmas break, just to be able to say they did, then let it fester without any attention into mid-January.

It's like he's halfway there.

- CIG is a business.
- Businesses have schedules.
- They missed the deadline for SQ42.
- Well-run businesses generally adhere to deadlines, and take it seriously when deadlines are not met.
- CIG has never met a deadline.
- CIG is not a well-run business.
- I have $3,000 invested in CIG.

So obviously these "sensors" were originally meant to be guns. Does anyone know why they wrote "PARKING SENSOR! PARKING SENSOR! DEFINITELY NOT A GUN!" all over them and downgraded to the tiny guns?

If they were concerned that the ship would be overpowered with six guns rather than two, why not just reduce the power of all the guns by 2/3rds? Or is that not as fidelitious as the giant space parking sensors?

Everyone knows that as time goes on, technology usually has to become much larger to accommodate slightly better performance. Space ships are no different than computers or cars. My car has a parking sensor and camera in the back and it's no larger than a coin. In 20 years, I'm sure you'll have to drag a trailer around so that the picture can be in HD and the beeps will be twice as loud. It's just how things work.

I can come up with some speculation that sounds realistic

CRobberts: How's the errr Model look?
Artist: Right here.
CRobberts: What are these things on the front?
Artist: Big guns? They've been in since the concept.
CRobberts: This is theuhhhh hauling ship! It will need escorts! It's like a ahhh a semi truck needing jeeps and tanks to guard it! It can't have artillery!
Artist: What is....I mean.....where did this come from....
CRobberts: You don't see Semi trucks with big errrr tank barrels all over them! It needs to be lightly ahhhh armed!
Artist: I mean there is nothing that says that....We have thousands of dev hours on making these things guns
CRobberts: Why wasn't I uhhhh told
Artist: You were at the imaginarium the last six months.
CRobberts: Just make them.....uhhh....parking sensors or something.
Artist: It's almost like you have some need to focus on pointless minutiae and the "roles" everything is supposed to play that you are forcing us to turn this ship with a clear concept and work already done on it into some kind of weird future vision only you have of a space tractor trailer for situations you have imagined. You are like an autistic child screeching and smashing your face into a wall because another kid put a gun in one of your GI Joe's hands and they are supposed to be off duty during the hours of 0500-0900.
CRobberts: Get to work on those parking sensors, I'll get the programmers to make the parking mechanics. You see how hard it is to park tractor trailers in real life?
Artist: I just figured it out, you are airplane autistic instead of train autistic

I don't know anything about UK financial statements standards -- they don't include a disclosure of the compensation to the top managers (CEO, CFO, etc.)? That's one of my favorite things about reading public companies' filings for the US. :sigh: Why couldn't CIG make this clusterfuck even more fantastic by going public here?

Well I don't either. :v: But the latest filings (sorry don't have a link) does a line item for "higher up type" compensation which we basically determined by default was Erin. When I said doctored, given 14 different corps hell he or anyone could be paid from different ones that could fall under the radar of reporting requirements.

But in the end, CIG isn't a public company so we need to rely on their oath they will release financials (ha ha). But like I said before, they won't mean much besides showing rampant waste and how much cash they actually have. "Financials" are pretty much a broad term that gets tossed around after the month closes. There's the set the board sees which are usually consolidated and there's the individual sets managers and directors see for variance tracking. Either way, you aren't going to see the 50,000 journal entries that hit the GL or compensation.

Since you enjoy some of this stuff, get on guidestar and look up 990 forms for non-profits. The executive compensation levels are a few pages in. Pick a charity, and see how much they make. Eye opener.
