A comparison might not be fair since they released 2.0 last year and had Idris / Javelin limited release sales at the same time. They've dug such a big hole with that lti poo poo they've had to promise anti theft devices to lower insurance costs and sell more jpegs. Can't get rid of lti, but by retaining it and not having it on every ship you might be putting off potential customers who don't want to pay for a virtual item they could lose permanently. So they need to really press home the message that insurance isn't a big deal while still being able to sell lti pictures for extra cash.

CIG must have massive, doomsday level problems in their performance capture, modeling, and animation pipelines. It's been a full year now since they showed any hint of SQ42 cast in-game with John Rhys-Davies' character model spinning in place on the last holiday live stream. And the last character in motion they showed was in the Old Man teaser a month or so before that.
