It wouldn't surprise me if Gumi delays that particular improvement to whenever they fall below, I don't know, 50 on that particular metric. There's really no incentive for them to improve their awful gacha as long as people are still dumping money into it

I'm skeptical of Gumi messing with this specific banner because Noctis is cool and new and all but he's pre-nerfed and who knows if/when they'll put him on par with the Japan version. Meanwhile in a month or so we're going to get Orlandu's banner and unless they nerf him for global he's going to be the chase for whales and everyone else so if you're going to gouge people that's the banner you'd do it on.rabidsquid posted:if i got a zidane i doubt i would feel nearly as bad about never drawing one of the base 5*s, since a dual wield firion would be totally awesome. Physical dps is for whales and TM grinders. I've never felt weak as a f2p player with a magic based team, even in arena. 4 casters chaining thundaga and a tank to provoke will put out a lot of damage.

It's just a question of whether he stays like this or eventually gets buffed to his JP level. Without any precedent for it, I personally wouldn't bet on it happening since Gumi's likely to lose track of it/not care as they continue to port over the JP updates

Speaking of Gumi being dumb, anyone want to take bets as to the Daily Quest today features "Collect 200 T.Gears" again? The fact that this kind of thing stood for a whole day, without being fixed is awful, and you know there won't be any compensation either.

Ok so I didn't realize, calculating earlier that Genji Glove gave a +10% ATK and +10% MAG on top of dual wield. That makes it way better as apparently pots add directly to your base value. They will at the very least milk every dollar out of the Orlandu banner. If they have Moby Dicks that spend the 550 pulls it will need to get him than they will make sure to rake in that cash. When the Orlandu banner runs the outcry of quitting whales will be much higher _IF_ the reported JP rates come true. After that Gumi will probably say, okay guys we will implement the summon changes like JP did, and everyone will be like okay thats reasonable I keep playing, while it was Gumis plan all along.

Is it worth keeping any of the non-Lightning XIII banner units around? I've got all of them except Snow. Vanille has her decent LB and Hope is one of the few sources of Waterga (and Raise), but otherwise not much seems to be going on there. I've got a Refia, Kain/Freya, two Full Breakers (Ingus/Vaan) and multiple mages (two Exdeaths, two Arcs, Krile), so yeah. Also finally got my last ATK+10% for Light. 480 ATK, not super amazing but I've been fairly lax on getting new weapons.

I've got about 30 units now I really want to grind tms on, I'm thinking the better investment is to skip dailies and instead do two nrg recharges a day to just get these things moving. TMs will improve my team substantially better than another 5* base character could, even under the assumption I'd even pull another one. I just have to commit myself at some point to ignore these events and just turn on the macros.
