↓      ↳ WC3 (same game, but with FMV)

↳ WC:P (same game, but more like Elite)

When the hell did Chris ever make a game different from each other? Wing Commander wasn't the same as Major Stryker, but that's about it.

Chris only worked on the franchise as far WC3

Refactor this 1940's fake crap. Come on CIG guy reading this forum. Don't let this lack of realism slip under Chris' watchful nose!

That's a great graph since it shows that CIG isn't a competent game company by focusing on beta-stage work when they're still lagging far behind on the alpha and pre-alpha foundation needed to make that work… well… work. I don't expect that this was the point he was trying to make.

Conspiratiorist posted:

He was a movie director for 4, and did almost nothing for 2, but like the Prophecies, it's usually connected with his name anyway. And you can bet your behind that whoever makes the “every game is different” argument will also believe that Chris has done all those games, so you'll need to address them in that context.

If your primary exposure to American gun culture is via the internet you're probably getting a wildly distorted view. The type of people you see having internet slap fights in comments sections of news articles are generally the extremists on each side. So you come away with the impression that everyone in America is either a Berkeley hippy that wets themselves at the thought of a firearm, or a total nutjob that owns 30 ARs and masturbates constantly at the thought of shooting a burglar with or becoming Neegan after total societal collapse.

Whereas I think the vast majority of people either don't own guns but don't think they should all be rounded up and incinerated (or at least realize that in American it's not likely to ever happen or work), or do own guns but aren't particularly worried about them being rounded up and incinerated.

There are literally people in this literal thread saying literal things literally like:

”I only have a glock and an AR-15 so i'm not a gun nut and don't know much about guns, but...”

This is pretty much how people play these FPS games though, right? Zoomed in so nothing but a face covers the whole screen so you can watch it's nuances as it goes through with the fighting and such.

I thought the best part of that video was that any time they showed gameplay it was janky and a bit jerky and awkward. But that face was ok. Can't wait until the ideas/code underneath pipeline kicks in and ideas just immediately become coded out and perfect.

Uh oh. This is me I think. Though it's a pistol and an AR-10. I enjoy distance shooting and the mathematics, aerodynamics, and meteorological conditions behind zeroing in on a distance target. I didn't get anything super tactical or spend hideous amounts of money. I just got what I wanted to maintain something I've been interested in doing. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I don't grit my teeth when shooting. I try to pretty much keep a totally neutral and non-tightened expression.

I wonder if CIG is going to steal from Kojima where if you shoot your machine gun too long your guy starts to yell. Not that it will be in David Hayters soothing tones, but I know Chris is always looking for the next great idea to Archer up himself. :)

That's all fine, but you do realize that in any other country this would very much categorize you as a gun nut, right?

Disclaimer: I'm not anti-gun-ownership, i've got nothing against gun nuts. I am pro-gun-control, however, and i very much do have beef with idiots owning guns. It's not black and white. It's not either no guns or everyone has a gun. There are actual shades in between.
