And now we reach the part of the festivities where the tension really begins to run high. We're into the top 10 friends! So many great shows are still standing! We still haven't seen Person of Interest! We still haven't seen Game of Thrones! We still haven't seen Westworld! We're going to find out their final placings soon enough but not quite yet because here's your number 10!

Things are really heating up now, friends! The top 10 was incredibly close this year and the next 5 shows are all separated by a mere 5 points! With so many big shows still yet to be seen only one person's vote can be the difference between success and failure! What does that mean for the likes of Person of Interest, Stranger Things and Westworld? That will all be learned in time but right now let's see what you all chose for your #7 pick!

I always figured Person of Interest would be hobbled by some network executive's frantic command to make it as procedural as possible so as not to confuse old people, as well as stretching out 8-12 episodes worth of story into 20+ episodes per season. Was that the case or did they actually let their story flow in a natural way?

Zaggitz

Hello everyone who put Westworld on their list but not Person of Interest. Did you know Person of Interest was made by the same show runner? Did you know that after spending it's first season and a half worldbuilding, it dives into themes of AI, sentience and free will just as hard as WW did? It also delves into a bunch of other cool themes while pushing a pro feminist, pro lgbt, anti surveillance state message and it's pretty much my favorite show ever made.

The entire thing is on netflix and if you liked Westworld I implore you to push through(not skip) that rough start to get to one of the most thought provoking, well produced and well paced sci fi action thrillers ever made.

It's great. The procedural aspect isn't forced, it's the heart and soul of the show. Their whole purpose is to save people's lives, getting embroiled in an AI war just ends up happening and they have to deal with it while still trying to save people.

CBS did it dirty at every turn but POI still turned out almost brilliantly anyway.

(Some people don't like the more heavily procedural episodes but the show runners still at least tried to give them meaning to the overall story, and even then, most of them still had flashbacks and character arc development injected into the proceedings.)
