Also don't skip the fourth, The Hunt for Green October, if you like the first two. It has Big Head vs. neo-Nazis. It's exactly as loving amazing as that sounds and should have been the sequel to the movie instead of Son of the Mask.

e: nevermind, apparently it was never actually collected outside of the omnibus, which is a shame because it's probably the best Mask arc on the whole. You can get the floppies for relatively cheap on Amazon and it's piss easy to :filez:, though.

A lot of the original individual issues of the material in the second omnibus are like 2-3 bucks a piece. I'm really not sure why the omnibus editions are so expensive if the original issues aren't rare or valuable.

Someone put dubs from the laserdisc on YouTube, but they're gone now.

The sad thing is that every single clip had the rights cleared for a home video release some years ago (the last holdout was Warner Bros. approving The Jazz Singer), but no one wants to release it on video in the US or UK.

I've wanted to check that out for a while and ended up buying the trades because you mentioned it. Anyway, if you'd like to get them without paying an absurd markup tfaw.com has the first three collected editions for eight bucks each. The omnibus that contains the same material usually goes for 200 bucks.

I read The Mask comic when I was really young and because I've so rarely seen it mentioned the whole thing feels like this weird fever dream where it's similar but really violent in an oddly off-putting way and also the character the movie focused on was there but was now a huge rear end in a top hat that dies pretty quickly.

Update: my grandma got my mom a blanket that has an embroidered (?!) photo from last Xmas with my brother, my mom and I on it. My mom keeps folding the blanket (and sending me the pics) so that our three heads are next to each others, or so that it looks like we're both kissing her on the cheek. It's surreal.

Think I might need to have her hospitalized.

The Love Witch did not disappoint. I like how it does camp, not in a "Haha look how bad this is" kinda way but more "yeah this is kinda cheesy and absurd but just go along with it so we can tell the story." There are definitely some sloppy parts but overall it's fun. And the camera freakin' loves Samantha Robinson.

It depends on what it is. But I've definitely seen a lot of poo poo where the trades are out of print and extremely overpriced on the secondary market while the individual original issues are dollar books. I think the people paying these premiums are the same guys who go to multiple comic book stores so they can get all the variant covers of Star Wars: C-3PO or some bullshit.
