Moana had Lin Manuel Miranda songs in it and The Rock so I imagine it's better just for that. Still Kubo was a beautiful film.

I tuned in about 20 minutes after the start, are they doing in memoriam reels for a bunch of different people or are they really singling out Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds?

I haven't seen Kubo yet, I need to rectify that. Yeah Moana is a lot of fun, but Zootopia is also top notch. It's hard to rate them against each other since Moana was more recent for me, and I had lower expectations for Zootopia so it was much more surprising.

Man losing Carrie Fisher sucks for a variety of reasons but I feel Debbie Reynolds even more. Singin' In The Rain is like one of my favorite movies period.

Yes, but it's still a great freaking film anyway, an incisively naturalistic depiction of people coping with loss and life's disappointments.

Debbie Reynolds is like, Old Hollywood personified, to the point where she spent much of her later years collecting memorabilia from classic hollywood films. And it would be really weird to celebrate her without talking about Carrie.
