I felt like this about The Fault in Our Stars. I decided against it but it totally seems like a movie to get drunk and cry at.

Sometimes you forget for a minute how good Meryl Streep is, then you see a reel like this and you remember and it kind of blows you away.

It's really not fair just how good she is. I feel like she's cheating somehow and the fact she's not is even crazier.

If Meryl Streep called me out for being a giant sack of poo poo, I'd just go to the nearest corner and cry until I died.

Chris Pine gives the 4th best performance in Hell or High Water and he's still really great in it. Just not as good as Ben Foster, Jeff Bridges, or Diner Lady.

Robert DeNiro is pretty goddamn amazing. I often wonder how many more incredible films he would have made in the last 20 years if he hadn't just suddenly stopped making films entirely after the flawed but enjoyable Ronin.

Oh Denzel for sure. He's so good in movies that it's practically expected that he's just exceptional. It verges on boring for how consistently great he is.
Also is it beard year or something?

De Niro can't be on the list because he'd done nothing but trash his legacy for years at this point.

He's right below the ones I named because he's made some questionable choices in recent years. Streep, DDL, and Denzel are special because they just don't really do bad movies. Hanks has done three Dan Brown films and that's just not right.

He also thought Cloud Atlas was a good idea.
