I felt better about episode 2 than 1 due to cutting back a bit on the like..as potentially amusing as it is that she got stripped while Kobayashi was drunk, I don't know if I super want that haha. It seems like it should be fun enough though. That specific bit was added into the anime as far as I remember. It was weird and bad. They also left out the this part of the market scene;

I forgot about her dragon scale motif panties. A good choice, though made in an unnecessary scene that detracts from the general tone of the manga. Happily enough, he seems to get most of his "I need to draw lewd stuff" urges out in other manga now.

I have Touhou vibes for some reason; Tohru reminds me a bit of some depections of Rumia or Cirno. I like it it's Tohru who ends up playing the straight man, those are good bits.

I dunno, I kind of like Tohru always making a big point about how much she hates humans and is just acting nice for her own sake, even though she really does get along with people easily and helps them unprompted. I mean, despite saying that she immediately goes after a mugger when she could've ignored it. I think both mediums make it clear that though she might talk big, she's really just a good person.

Suppressing that scene is probably a good choice for the adaptation because it makes her more sympathetic in the mugger scene immediately after.
