Just started watching a show called "Beyond". I think it has been originally been launched through Freeform. First few eps seem alright. I will give the entire first season a chance. It looks like it's a mix between Stranger Things and a bit of X-files. Recommend if you need a quick and easy binge watch fix....

I was quite disappointed. It feels like they made the first half of the season but then had no idea how to make something out of it.

Did I miss some important things that make this incredible? If so, can someone explain?
Boy wakes up from coma after 12 years. Boy has superpowers because he trained and lived in the "Beyond" during those 12 years. One rich man want's him on his side for somethingsomething, other Rich man is making genetically modified tomatoes and wants to meet his dead wife again. Rich man No.2 needs someone to make a bridge in the beyond. Forces boy to go to the beyond with him with unexplained, mysterious machine. Boy makes bridge. Rich man meets wife again. But it's not wife, but something bad. Boy gets out, flees in the most unspectacular escape ever.

I sort of lost interest in Hell on Wheels sometime during the final season, but I saw it was up on netflix so I decided to watch through the last dozen episodes. The show was shaky a lot of the time but drat did they ever nail the ending, I'm really glad I got around to finishing it.

I have only just started Its always sunny in Philadelphia, watched first 4 episodes in one sitting last night which is a marathon in the context of my viewing habits, i love how all the main characters are basically unlikeable assholes. Really looking forward to catching more tonight.

Also watched most of the first season of Fresh Prince which is a real hit of nostalgia for me.

I love Always Sunny but it takes me so long to watch. I seem to get on a kick and watch several episodes at a time and then leave it for months. Currently on one and watched from 501-602 in the past couple days. Maybe I'll be caught up by season 13 next year!

My girlfriends been getting really into this show called Pretty Little Liars and its the most bullshit, low effort, trash TV show I've ever encountered, every single scene is just sombre piano music in the background while 2 characters speak about a 3rd character, nothing ever happens, there is nothing of substance, it's just mildly attractive people mostly saying trashy things about other people. Apparently they've milked this poo poo for 150 episodes. I realy don't get it.

Are you a teenage girl? Cause that's who it's for. My wife liked it and it is pretty garbage even for the demographics. From what I gather they've been after the same person for like 7 years.

I just watched first season of Lemony Snicket a series of unfortunate events on Netflix and it's pretty good y'all.

It's on Freeform; it's basically the Dawson's Creek of the decade. Crappy production value, meant for teenage girls.

Watching you sleep.

Butt first, let's
check the feeds.

I remember when Pretty Little Liars was getting some hype and it caught my attention, but it seemed to pretty clearly be a teenage/adolescent soap opera.

I got into binging Lemony Snickett today and I'm to the last book/part/chapter/whatever. It picks up a bit for sure and I'm enjoying it well enough, but I still don't love it. But I suspect some of that is my unfamiliarity with the books so its not hitting any kind of nostalgia thing for me. I'm just an adult watching a kids thing that I have no connection to, so I'm not that surprised I'm not blown away. I'm pretty much there for Neil Patrick Harris.

My wife also loved Pretty Little Liars despite not being 14. I'd make fun of her for watching a kids show but she has way too much ammunition on me watching cartoons like Archer and American Dad.

I just finished watching Mad Dogs (Amazon Prime original). The set-up is 4 friends go visit their college buddy in Belize, who is living "the dream" in a massive villa on the coast. Of course poo poo happens and the series follows the adventures of the group of friends as they try to survive. There are random plot twists and new characters introduced and dismissed throughout the series, which gives it a little bit of a video game air, but it's a pretty fun watch. Nothing too serious but a good background show to sometimes fully dip into. The main criticism I have for it is that it's a no hero show, you won't be rooting for anyone particularly except maybe some side characters.
I liked this one too, apparently no second season. Not sure where it would've gone except into not the zany bachelor-party romp it began as.

My younger sister's favourite show.

At least when NCIS isn't on.

(She likes Mark Harmon.)

Alternatively I strongly recommend watching it while high.

A close tie with Stranger Things for may favourite new show of 2016. Can't remember the last time something exceeded my expectations (which were pretty low) by this much.

I most recently binged through Department S, an old ITC adventure/mystery series from the late 1960s. Some real standout episodes (one with a young pre-fame Sir Anthony Hopkins was particularly good) but a lot of really by the numbers instalments that felt like rejected The Saint pitches. Peter Wyngarde was fun to watch but I would much rather watch The Avengers or Danger Man if I was going to watch another old ITC adventure/mystery series.

Anyone watching Shut Eye? My parents had it up playing when I was at their place and it's actually pretty entertaining even though I've never heard of it before. It's basically about the adventure of a bunch of psychics/scammers trying to make their last big job to get out of LA. It's kind of cheesy and ridiculous sometimes but pretty fun overall.

Ah! Another rare chance (after it popped up in the Prisoner thread) to plug my Department S site!

And yes, you're pretty much right about the show. I enjoyed it, but it could have been so much more if they'd actually stuck to the premise of "detectives with very different approaches solve crimes too bizarre for regular cops" (ie, The X Files, 25 years early), rather than "I've got some rejected scripts for The Saint and The Baron in a drawer; time to Tippex out the character names and pitch them again!"

Syfy has pleasantly surprised me, I binge-watched both The Expanse and Z Nation and really enjoyed both shows. The Expanse is a very nice blend of various types of sci-fi that I like, and it looks great to boot. And Z Nation is far and away a better show than the last season and a half of The Walking Dead (the entire series of which I also binge-watched not that long ago, up to the current half-season break, so I know of what I speak here).

Pretty sure Sneaky Pete's pilot/first episode was shopped around and passed on, and then the show moved some things around (Cranston is the writer, but agreed to play a character in the show) and ultimately that's what saved it. I read somewhere they were going for a complete procedural show.

After being interested in it and watching a dozen assorted episodes over the years, I'm finally binging Star Trek: TNG. An episode guide is being used but my standards of quality are low.

So far it's been enjoyable, and goofy in just the right ways. Where No One Has Gone Before is my favourite episode so far because edge-of-universe stuff really does it for me.

If you can get your hands on it you really should watch the British Sky1 original version of Mad Dogs, which aired 2011-2014. The Amazon Prime version is pretty much a direct copy of the original but with different actors and a slightly different, abbreviated story/location. The original was set in Mallorca and Spain. I enjoyed it a lot better than the Amazon knock-off (calling it an Amazon Prime "Original" is a real stretch).

Not great... Not great. Frantic and weird editing and cinematography and some weird casting and a plot that just seems to linger until the very last episode of the season. I'm weak for trash sci-fi though so I had to check it out

The plot of "we were sent back in time to fix the future and we did our mission successfully BUT THE FUTURE WASN'T FIXED... HUHHHH?" wasn't enough of a plot hook for me for so many episodes. The cast didn't even seem too bothered by the revelation despite it being their lifes work failing
