i think singing a song about how you are who you are and not to let other people change your (sexual orientation/identity) in front of a Vice President who has literally advocated for electro-shock therapy to de-gay people is pretty statement making, but what do i know. Maybe she should have done a satanic ritual and had an on-stage abortion instead

She literally started out with God Bless America then went into a Woody Guthrie song written because he thought God Bless America was bullshit. Guthrie had "this machine kills fascists" written on his guitar and wrote several songs about how much he hated Donald Trump's father, by the way. That combined with Born This Way was literally as edgy and in your face as you could get at the Superbowl.

I'm debating guys, would it be worth it to see Gaga at Wrigley Field? If it were an ARTPOP tour I'd totally do it, but Joanne doesn't do it for me as much as her earlier stuff. Is it going to be as big a spectacle as the other tours?

I absolutely love that song and I know I'm going to listen to it a shameful amount of times, but I still feel like it's a leftover demo from the Artpop / Fame Monster era for some reason

The new song sounds less like a Gaga song and more like a song she would have written for like, Shakira or someone fifteen years ago. It's super generic and boring.

There hasn't been an era where some part of her fan base is disappointed. My favorite era was Born this Way, but most of the general public hated it (especially songs like Judas that were controversial) This has radio/hit all over it, but she isn't one dimensional, one week she's singing country, the next she's doing R&B and metal. We will just have to wait and see what happens next.
