ManI am struggling with Riverdale. I just can't deal with the actress playing Cheryl. She's this one terrible thing that is dragging down an otherwise good show.

She does for season 1. She's barely been in season 2 so far but it's been a much smaller, slower story. I guess if you really hate her that much I can't recommend continuing, though.

Wasn't it like season 4 or thereabouts where a nuke went off in a suburb or something? It was the season with Behrooz, the kid with the terrorist parents who was given away to another group of terrorists in a trade for some reason. edit: looking it up, I was conflating parts of season 4 and 6 in my memory. raditts fucked around with this message at 00:02 on Feb 14, 2017 |

Season 4 had an EMP going off over Los Angeles and Audrey finding out Jack is a monster when he tortures people and allows Paul to die when he forces the doctors operating on Paul to stop and operate on a key informant instead.

BJPaskoff posted:I hated it and stopped after the second episode. What's with the acting? A man's reaction to finding his wife dead and covered in vomit shouldn't be to hold her and smile awkwardly up at the corner of the ceiling. Or at the end of the first episode, how he just smiles the same way and shrugs at what's going on. It's not just his acting, either. You know it's a comedy right? Do you react the same way to Gob Bluth's or Phil Dunphy's behaviour/reactions to situations?

So far this benefits a bunch from some breathing room to soak up everything thats going on. It's also on the same network that airs The Americans, don't be too concerned about ratings.

JUICY HAMBUGAR posted:Yep, if I ever need a good cry I just throw on The Body. I mean, it's a pretty bad episode to watch if you haven't watched the show, because you have no context for the characters. Plus the impact on you as a viewer of the character that died is gonna be nil because you didn't know them from watching the show.

What is there to talk about? It's not like there's a plot or anything besides the small story of the snow leopard family. It's just going to be a couple pages of "X is really pretty" and "Yeah it looks amazing." I guess republicans will hate the global warming message though.
